A stronger clutch and shifting at a higher RPM (>5,500) will easily take you to sub-4-seconds. Harley-Davidson deliberately nerfs the clutches on these bikes to reduce wheel spin (when wet) and wheelies (when dry).
@@SirSpinalColumn that is generally not a true statement. Twins can offer PLENTY of top end power. Considering the bike looks to be stage one and I'd hope some tubing done some of that powerband would shift to the higher end and top end is like.. 5500 rpm... I know the old screaming eagle one let it sing to 6800
Stage 1 will give you maybe 10 hp and 62 lb of torque. Thats what I measured after the air filter, exhaust, and tune. My exhaust isn’t performance oriented but its still high flowing. (Mini grenades) and used the fp3 base map to tune the bike. I have an arlen ness filter. I measure 60 hp and 62 ft lbs of torque, stock is 49 hp and 55 ft lbs of torque. So you gain a little bit up get up and go, but it isnt going to turn it into a bigger engine. You definitely notice it though, especially the torque transferring to horsepower.
Pretty but is too slow 😢 c'mon at lest should make 4.5 seconds I want to exaggerate 5 seconds max ... but 6 seconds ? Really ? How can you enjoy that , Going slow like a snail ?
Exactly. Like a super fast crf250L right? You do realize some bikes are made to do different things regardless of place of manufacture? A Harley pan am would spank most Japanese adventure bikes. And I’m not a Harley fan
Dude I agree. Harleys are all about the flash. Like a purse for men. My cheapest bike is an mt03 I paid 2500 for. It's does zero to 60 in 5 seconds and it's very slow for a hypernaked. Can do everything this harley can do and more. Take it on gravel all the time it's my beater bike.
(0:06) sec 0-60 ain't too bad and plenty fast enough on a 555lb sport-cruiser.
You're making excuses.

6 seconds isn't bad i have a 1.7liter honda that does have a legit 10 second 0-60 at 4500ft elevation.
For an "old engine" fitted in those sportsters, it runs ok

0-60.... eventually. (Joking, a little money and some wrenching and these bikes can be down right quick)
Short shifting
these twins have nothing to give up top anyway

Is it stock or stage 1?
It had custom slip-ons mufflers and a cheap air filter, but I didn't change the ECU

Put a 1200 kit in mine and now it will keep up with my 06 night train!!!!
What does 1200 kit do ? Can it make it quicker ? What's 0-100 kmh with the kit ? Why didn't you buy the sportster 1200 in the first place then ?
