What MB14 is using is mostly EQ, reverb, compression, panning and guitar to bass for some of his bass sounds (others are liprolls that produce a lot of sub) or a combination of these things. 99% of what you are hearing is his voice and he can (and has) recreated most of these sounds without a loopstation (or microphone at all). So you are not wrong, I just didn't want you or others to get the wrong idea
