This was a really fun moment for me 😆 Joe’s bass line is killer. And I know it’s not cool to brag - but actually, if I’m being honest - I wish more people celebrated their strengths more often, so I’m gonna practice that here. I was proud of myself in this moment! That I could hear what the bass line was playing, pick it out by ear, and sing it in one take. That I have the ear, pitch and vocal control to do what Jack asked me to do. That’s taken YEARS of practice. And yeah, I was born into a musical family, but I’ve spent my whole life singing, and most of my adult life playing bass. And when those skills come together and I get to shine, that’s a REALLY GOOD FEELING. 🥰
You remind me here of a nelson mandela quote i have written on my car “And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. “way to lead the way Nataly❤i read every word you wrote here. And i leave feeling happy and inspired.
I couldn't do it!!
Yeah I was thinking about the fact that you used to play the bass in so many of the songs.
nice work man that was tight
What the name of this tune sounds quality
one take!?! yall are crazy
easy af
If you let the short loop, it seems like a lot of takes
@@SoSo-uk5ijit really isn’t
@@ryangroom2959 If you make music it is lmao

"Mhmmmm!" Their banter is such wholesomeness. "Anything else?"
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
@@Rodgerwilco91what?
Thats not banter, my guy.
That’s not what banter is but I get where you’re coming from
Is this band a gag? Seriously asking. It seems like cringe-porn….like a Portlandia-esque band rehearsal or something. Please clarify!
“Fun. Anything else?” Words of a master at her craft
Very "what's next?" from The West Wing.
The bass player never gets their moment 😂
He knows how important he is :)
when you do well some people dont even notice
For real😂😂 casually mention "when the bass player does that cool bass thing". Then she la las over a piece and they flip😂 can't lie tho its real sweet
Actually her voice now accentuate the bass run that would go unnoticed for a a lot of people
@@diegooliveirabenjaminwas just about to say this! I heard it so much more when she did the humming, and that drew my attention more to the bass than the voice
Her voice is so pretty. I love how gentle it is almost idk. Everyone in the band is killer excited to hear more.
what band is this?
Serious question, I'm an idiot and I don't understand how to see youtube short descriptions.. I really like this sound!!

What is this song called
I love how they laughed when you absolutely nailed that beautiful part. Like it was exactly what they had in mind
Exactly. Yessss. Word
They were laughing bc the whole thing was a prank. They didn't think the vocal line sounded good
i’m pretty sure they laughed because they were watching a funny tiktok
This seems like a small moment but it's actually an amazing example of an artist and producer being completely in sync. Yes, it means Nataly has the ear and brain to immediately and accurately identify the bass line, and the vocal ability to sing it; but it also means Jack has the stylistic mind to hear and target that line, and know just how Nataly should sing it, and that it perfectly suits her aesthetic, and trust that Nataly can do it. This is how really good and honest-sounding songs get made- the opposite of vocalists who buy spec songs off the rack, hire the most expensive producer they can afford, and shove a single out the door.
Tl;dr Nataly and Jack are an awesome team with an awesome creative process.
Bro a singer recognizing a bass line in their own song isn't special what are you sperging about lmao
@@ParabolaToolbro you sound miserable 😂
@@ParabolaTool…so? Yeah sure a lot of people can do it, doesn’t make them less talented or in sync.
@@Rayne42069 this guy having a reddit moment over the simplest thing a musician can do is so funny to me is all
@@ParabolaToolIf the singer isn't the bassist then it literally is tho like wtf? Are you trolling? Picking up on little nuances in the bass line help bring the rhythm section together entirely and also like in this clip can lead to little vocal additions that very clearly sound good with the song
There's such a great vibe in this studio DAMN !
And Nat absolutely crushed it, she's a pro
Love those recording shorts, keep em coming 😊
Those are the single most feelgood videos on youtube, i have never seen such a healthy workplace
you wanna play the baseline, or double it and give it to the next person?
Underrated comment 😂
Another bassist slander ayy 🗿🍷
Hahahahah love this
That "fun" after nailing it is something else lol such a pleasant voice
The kind of singer every bass player wants to work with ❤
She’s a bass player herself so I’m sure she gets it exactly lol
For people asking for song name, I believe this is a process video for a song that’ll be coming out in their new album in the future (song not released yet)
🥑 gracias
And yes Im joking and super glad you posted this or ida gone mad
The answer I came here for.
i sorta figured but thanks lol
When is the release date
She has a strong, positive, healing aura surrounding her.
Natalie’s instrument is SO GOOD! She can paint little happy clouds with her voice that you didn’t know you needed, until you heard them. Well, you and I don’t know; Jack does, evidently.
It's so cool to see you guys grow from like doing music in a little room to a whole studio
I miss the you piano and Grandma's piano as well
Oh nailed it Nataly, what a cool effect. Jack has some good ideas here, there and everywhere…. 😄
WOW. That changed the whole dynamic of that phrase. Simple and lighthearted but very impactful
It is easy to forget how much of a great arranger jack is, but having the awareness that the track needs this is really what sets jack apart.
I've been listening to this on repeat, it's so calming lol
what’s it called?! trynna find it

The combination of bass and faint voice sound pleasant. Great work.
It's like magic to watch true professionals working. All of them at the top of their game. Wow.
This really shows the professionalism of Nat from her being able to hit it in one take and the brilliance of Jack from him being able to hear and add that cool little line that most would not
I love that laugh when someone nails something so perfectly all you can do is laugh.
Such a gentle and beautiful voice ❤❤
I’m always impressed by people’s ability to tell others what to do and how to do it without seeming rude or demanding.
Such a beautiful voice. She has crazy eyes, however 😂😂😂
I love recording with people who know your voice well enough to know the kinds of cool stuff you can do...
OH MY GOD YOU GUYS ARE STILL AROUND!!
I used to watch every video that comes out. I just went through your channel to remember which song I used to listen to.

Vocal doubling of a solo or a fill is old school and adds so much
Such a privilege to watch such supremely talented bunch of musicians at work.
Humbles me and inspires me in equal measure.

What a great moment! Definitely worth celebrating 😊
how easily she picked up that bass line is actually crazy
“Anything else?” Girl, you are just royalty. 👑
She has this look on her face like she's not quite sure of herself, but it comes out absolutely perfect.

@@Bluedragon2513 Thank you!
You guys are couple goals.
The way they're on the same wave length is incredible. Chill Vibes = Chill Music. Love it!
What a beautiful moment. I couldn't help watching several times.
That's crazy impressive. I studied music and played guitar since I was in middle school. Being able to hear a bass line once, repeating it instantly, and record it while adding musicality and dynamics is not a simple thing. It takes time and dedication to reach that level of musicianship (unless you're one of the lucky few born with perfect pitch).
Well stated. Hard agree!
Especially the part about musicality and dynamics. She really nailed it! I wasn't expecting it to sound so perfect on the first go! Great great musician with a fantastic ear and knack for this stuff!!! Lovely sounding in the end
@@I_scooter_fastWhat did she even do?? There's nothing impressive about counting into a bass solo and doing the absolute least with "uh oh" like Jesus fuck you guys 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@chickiechalupie7066 Tell me you don't understand the intricacies and subtleties of musicality without telling me you don't under the intricacies and subtleties of musicality.
Beautiful! I love these videos! You're a very skilled musician, Nataly!
All of them are :-)
Definitely the right call, helped the bass line stand out more and carried the song on completely different
Duuude she’s so mellow and her outfits fits her vibe
God, I felt that "mhm" after "I want one thing" so damn hard as a chamber musician working with different conductors.
Love/Hate relationship with "The Process"
I DEMAND the Penny Lane cover 😍
We all do!!!❤
That was such an incredible musical moment! You adapted unbelievably quickly and it was a great addition to highlight the baseline. I'm in awe!
I've never hear of you guys, but that little "Boop boop bab boop" over the bass made me think of going for a drive on a sunny afternoon. I loved it ❤ it filled my heart.
Relationship goals right here.
I don't think many people actually realise how impressive this is
Yeah when the producer asks the singer for something and it happens…. It’s really not. The producer or whoever the guy is should get the credit & and the bass player. She was just there to sing
Sorry. You're right.
I take it back. Wasn't very impressive at all😂
Yeah the methy "uh oh's" really take the absolute most skill to do. Good joke 🤣🤣
These audio engineers sound like a blast to work with!!
You see where it's going as they all describe it but it sounds so much better when you finally hear it!

Wow. Her pitch and timing are so accurate, pretty much right off the rip, one listen, one take. Even though everybody does that exact vocal style these days, that was plenty impressive indeed!

you have an amazing engineer. even in the midst of jokes he is attentive and ready for next steps💜💜💜
seeing professionals at work make it look so effortless. amazing
it’s like sitting in the studio just humming to the bassline… oh, 😅yea it’s what she did
I love how her singing is so quiet and focused that her face doesn’t move at all. If the video was muted you wouldn’t be able to tell she was singing.
I love the behind-the-scenes footage of the little points of music like this. It's these bits of songs that really grab me, even more than bassline or melody, and make them truly memorable.
I love the collaboration and all the complimentary behavior. It's refreshing
Man it’s a killer feeling to watch this video 8 times in a row only to realize all these clips I’ve watched today are from Pomplamoose. Nothing makes me happier than the seeing the lightning as it strikes.
Started watching you guys when I was in highschool 15 years ago. I adore the two of you, greatly.
One of the most important things in a memorable bassline imo is the ability to sing it.
That hit me right in the soul! I love Nataly! 🥰
really speechless with her quick grasp of the tunes. what a soothing voice.
She's great and I like how she was willing to entertain Jack's idea off the cuff. But i'm sure they've been doing this for decades already. Just the team and productions have gotten bigger.
I love the atmosphere you've got in that studio ❤
She has such a wonderful voice 😊
Your voice is so insanely comforting. I've been listening on and off for many years, and just came across this video. Such a treat to hear you sing.
1 take and so freaking effortlessly. Shes incredible
I love her voice both in singing and speaking.
GOLDEN VOICE.
and it matches her sweet , wholesome, and humble attitude. She has a very pleasing voice personality. Such a beautiful lady.❤
This is the side of music studio production that magic is born from. I love it
Natalie, your voice is out of this world. geez.
Great call by Jack, love that bit of the song
This was my life for 12 years straight as a voice agent and engineer of 25 years. I've never met more chill and relaxed people in all my travels in life. Thanks for the video.
i admire the engineer’s work.
he conducts the session by being the cue! follows the interactions and is always on point with the flow…
I don't know when they decide to start and stop recording but I'm SO stoked they were still recording for this. Not only is it insane how she immediately got the bass line down and of course her vocals are beautiful, but she was so in pocket on that timing I'm mad about it. Lol!
I love her ASMR style of singing. Its so soothing.
Such a precious sound she has ❤ absolutely loving it 💯
That is a uniquely beautiful voice!
I'm only a drummer but the satisfaction of hearing that nailed on the first take was amazing.
I personally think a good drummer is an integral piece of the puzzle.
@@ericamann2533 you're not wrong, but a singer who is that in touch with the rhythm section is a rarity in my experience, and a real treat
"Fun, anything else?"
Real musicianship right there
I just love seeing the 'behind the scenes' songwriting process and how an individual's train of thought contributes to the song and inspires others.
My past experiences have been dismissive, ignorant and with the occasional shouty part (only with a couple of bands 😅), so it's so therapeutic to witness such emboldened calm and respect that allows the creativity to breathe.
her voice is utterly amazing.
This is so awesome. The moment is fun and cute but the way you nail it in ONE TAKE? So impressive to the people who get it!
I've been looking for this for so long... The algorithm has brung me back
She's so competent ❤
Talent and production. Always immaculate.
Absolutely vivacious voice!
Just wow!
The whole room were so excited when she absolutely nailed it and it sounded phenomenal
