- Penny and Sheldon bond further over missing Leonard, though Sheldon doesn't admit that he misses him. Sheldon is concerned that Penny might be missing Leonard, resulting in her having bad dreams. He suggests that he should sleep in her place, so that she will not miss Leonard as much. Penny agrees that would make her feel better.

The best part of TBBT was how they wrote Sheldon and Penny's friendship. I know many don't like how some characters turned out to be, or their fate. But I think most of us at least can agree that this relationship is a total gem

Penny calling Sheldon sweetie is so wholesome. It’s not romantic. It’s not demeaning. It’s just a fun,quirky little thing Penny does that shows they have a sweet friendship (albeit an odd one).

I always thought of their relationship more akin to mother and son. I mean, Sheldon is essentially a man-child and Penny is caring in nature but typically doesn't have to because everybody is caring about her because of her looks.

@@Surfer041 That is because at the end they ruined her, they destroyed her character, her personality, to make her fit the traditional happy ending of a soap opera. In fact, somewhere along the way they ruined the entire series, turning it into a run of the mill soap. The 12th season is almost unwatchable, specially the finale. I hated when they made her suddenly become a happy, docile, expecting mother when she had clearly said only one episode before that NO, she didn't want to be a mother. That wasn't anymore the independent, free spirited Penny we all knew.
@@rubenoteiza9261 I also didn't like that she and Leonard ended up together. Alex was so much better for him. She also turned into a sell out for big pharma. In my opinion, she married Leonard out of pity. They had broken up so many times, I lost count. Great point about her not wanting kids, and then she ends up pregnant by series finale. The only character I still liked by the end was surprisingly Howard. He showed the most maturity. Granted he married a woman who was very similar to his mother. Overall it was a good show, but it ran for way too long, much like most Sit Coms.
