Serious inquiry! How much would it cost to build that enclosure and ship to the US? Or could you guys share the enclosure blueprints?

Absolutely love this. How much would it cost to get a 12” sub and amp with the custom boot install?

      FRONT:
He mentioned 5-6 hrs on the front doors and shop rates vary so let's say $50/hr or about $300 in labor costs for the front doors. Materials costs for the front doors: woofers are the Hertz Audio ML 1650.3 LEGEND165 - $800/pair and then all the misc. stuff like MDF, glue, wire, dampening materials and we're likely somewhere around $1,300 for the front doors.
Tweeter pods took the "better part of a day" so about 7-8hrs of labor for both of those custom tweeter pods plus install and the cost of the ML 280.3 LEGEND tweets ($550/pr) so about $1,000 with materials, tweets and labor for those cool pods.
Audison DRC/SRC controller is about $200 plus $100 in labor and materials.
So the front speaker setup is around $2,600 thus far. I left out that emergency vehicle device blue-eye thingy since it's not audio related and I'm too lazy to look it up.
      REAR DOORS:
Audison Voce speaker components $700, plus $300 in labor and materials thus the rear doors are about $1,000
      TRUNK:
The sub is the $800 JL Audio TW5v2, the materials back there are likely around $350 total (MDF, carpet, glue, dampening materials, amp wiring), then those three JL Audio amps: two XD400's and the XD600 all about $600each and he doesn't mention the trunk labor but that all looks like 5hrs of work so another $250 in labor. I think total $3,200 back there.
      RATHER ROUGH ESTIMATED TOTAL: $6,800
Check my maffs b/c I'm lazy and this was way more detail than necessary.

hello friend, congratulations on the project. Can you tell me how many liters of space you got in that Subwoofer box?

I love this - I've the Dynaudio factory option on my 7.5 R estate, which, whilst having pretty decent & detailed component speakers, definitely isn't much good for bass - the sub is definitely the weak point! I also think there's too much low end bass going through the front speakers too (plenty of excursion - probably needs soundproofing too).
Practical to upgrade that side of things? I'm sure that build will absolutely spank my Dynaudio system (I've had full blown ICE setups in the past, so know how good they can be).
I'd love to know how much (& how practical) it would be do carry out a "lite" version of that, using a proper Sub & retaining the Dynaudio components, please?

Hello, I'm new to all of this. I have a 19 GTI and was wanting to put a subwoofer in. What would be a good size? I don't need to have anything crazy, just enough to have fun with.
    Been looking at
Kicker 48TCWRT102 sealed enclosure with single 10" CompRT 2-ohm subwoofer and passive radiator, but I don't know much....

Does the cover rattle in the trunk or does the speaker hit the cover when its closed? I love the stealth factor!

Hi, The floor pan does not rattle and it definatly does not hit the subwoofer. We often hide the sub under the floor in late Golfs, we raise the floor very slightly to help allow the bass into the cabin.

Beautiful!!! Would you please tell us what the dimensions of the sub box are? I'm curious how you were able to get the air volume needed. Did it recess into the spare tire wheel? Thanks. Subbed. 👍

How did you pull a pre-amp signal from the OEM headunit or how did you convert the MOST150 signal? I am assuming you never used a post-amp signal on such a high-end build. Did you use a NAV-TV ZEN-V?

      Hi Paul,
No it doesnt but we always space them up 10mm to help allow the sub to vent a little. It works very well.

Yeah it rattles the hell out of it just like your 6x9s on your Vauxhall nova parcel shelf. 🙄
