Thanks for being an ally and mentioning that this is much bigger than “just another Disney after dark event”. Glad a lot of folks could make it out! As a trans woman of color I find myself hesitant in engaging with pride events put on by organizations that aren’t inherently queer, but it seems like they created a safe space there. Thanks Brickey for the amazing coverage as always and thanks to Disney parks. I appreciate that you actually talk about why this is important. I found others’ coverage to just be sensational. It’s easier to be indifferent, cold, or hard hearted, to things different than us or things we don’t know about. When you meet people from different backgrounds, different life choices, or even different physical characteristics than you. You realize besides a small difference they’re a lot more like you than different. It gives is an opportunity to treat others the way we would like to be treated and love our neighbors. I personally had been watching everyone else coverage on this event, and tbh it was looking like another heartless corporate cash grab from the perspective of others just doing their daily coverage of another after dark event. But this is why I follow you. You truly chase the vibes and you caught that vibe to share with us all. And I thank you for that. It makes me happy to see how hyped everyone was for it and it was more than just pictures with characters and food promos. You really turned my attitude towards how they handled this around.

I am so thankful I was able to attend this historic event, and your video transported me right back into all the deeply emotional feels that I felt and witnessed in others all evening. So much joy, love, acceptance and fun all night long. I also found the overall vibe to be very chill because people could relax and be themselves for a change. Thank You for being the "every person" Disney Historian, and always taking us with you! Mickey's rainbow heart on his shirt was everything!

We just got back from our our so cal family vacation where we were able to attend the second 6/15 Pride night with our teenage kids. We were just able to watch your video. You captured the emotion and the energy so well. My wife and I pretty much cried through your whole video. Thank you for capturing this in such an authentic and supportive way. Thank you for your sentiment about the celebration of Pride by a community that has endured such hate, discrimination and oppression. All of negativity and hatred persists as many know, especially those who receive the denial of inclusion and the embrace of acceptance. But with those of you who use your God given talents to persuade, coax, congeal, others into acceptance and praise those who just want the same liberty as others have had, we can only hope for the day to arrive. Thank you for including the souls from this community taken by HIV/AIDS. They never lived in a society that cared about their welfare, much less their happiness to be included in society openly. And thanks for including me in your vlog about historic night at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland USA 🇺🇸🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🌈
PS: I have to point out for all the RUclips content creators who practically live at Disney Parks, many chose to stay away from Pride Nite. Lacking the courage or publicly pronouncing their opposition to Pride and LGBTQ community or worse yet their fear of losing viewers. It takes courage to support those who are targeted by the powerful and who wield the power over others. We see them for their opposition.
The energy here is TREMENDOUS. Every cast member seems like they are having as much fun as every person in the park. I expected this to be great, but I didn't expect this to seem like one of the best after hours events the park has done!
And your point about it not being about popcorn buckets really rings true. This is about the experience. It's been a while since I felt this kind of pure celebration in the park.

I had so much fun this night. It was my firsr after dark disney event in general too. I was blown away.
Probably the most beautiful thing i saw was when i was waiting in line for the teacups. I saw a very old man riding a teacup alone. Cane in hand, just spinning to that iconic soundtrack. I welled up with tears. What memories was he having in that moment? Maybe it was his first time riding, maybe it was the second. Maybe it was the last.
The permanance of these attractions and the experiences and memories they illicit for all of us is something to celebrate.

As a trans woman, I appreciate Disney adding the blue-pink-white trans flag colors to their pride merch. Some day I'll finally get myself some rainbow mickey/minnie ears... they should be a year-round item in shops instead of a "seasonal" item. Thanks for the video.
