I think people are not used to seeing growth in an artist. He just got married. He has a family and another baby on the way. This album is about his life right now, and it is so refreshing to hear someone praise their wife and spread such a great message. Sorry this is not a trap album. It is a great album. This album had some bangers but I was really hoping for more production in the stylings of Coloring book or Acid rap.

he will never match acid rap again though, it had raw emotions that rich celebrities no longer face
Disconnected Roamer To each their own. In terms of production, I think this album is significantly more generic compared to his other albums. Coloring book’s production was much more organic and soul focused IMO. Same drugs and No Problem had some of the best instrumentals to ever be in a hip-hop song.

Nothing against you personally, this is just the comment I finally had of enough of people defending change as if change cant possibly be a bad thing. Some changes are for the worse. This album is one of those change. Nothing against chance nothing against your taste, but these songs only fit a specific mood and even for those niche moments in life there are song way better that fit the same category.

Bc a lot of the 2nd half is just generic pop trap with shitty generic features and Chance fans know he’s better than that. I like stylistic changes but a lot of this was done badly
omg ur so wrong on many things, barely anyone said they don't like it, acid rap wasn't about drugs, and y is everyone after mumble rappers bruh no such thing as a mumble rapper, James Brown mumbled in his songs, it's all good music
you can be grown and make a good album.
The album had 22 tracks and 3 of them being skit, so a runtime of an hour and 17 min. The 2nd half had filler and if Chance took the skits out and took about 6 or 7 songs out then it would’ve been a little bit better, and some of the production could’ve been better too. I know Chance as an artist isn’t going to make Acid Rap 2, but in my opinion he found the sound he was going for with Colouring Book and tried to do it again with this album, but the execution was so-so. The only problem is some of the production sounded too generic and not organic like Colouring Book. If Chance is trying to appeal to new fans with his debut it can be a hit or miss. I would introduce newer fans to Colouring Book first then 10 Days and then Acid Rap. If you like this album then more power to you, I’ll just listen to the tracks I enjoy and leave the rest. I’m still a fan of Chance and I’ll continue to see whatever next project he does next.
Ight I listened to the entire album. The first half wasent bad, no big bangers but a few songs I would listen to again. The 2nd half put me to sleep until the last song I ain’t even gonna lie with ya. Chance we all do respect but this shit don’t feel like ol you. The chance that I prefer is Acid Rap however I understand that he done grown into a man but this type of music however good to some will not appeal to most. I wouldent say this was literal trash or 🔥 ima just say it was decent but every person knows you could do better Chance

I don't get all the praise for Acid Rap. I listened to the entire thing for the first time today and wasn't feeling it at all. I nearly fell asleep halfway through. I like music that gets me hyped, not those weird ass instrumentals and are designed to help insomniacs fall asleep.
