Seriously; thank you so much for uploading this! I've been searching for this series on and off for a decade now and have never been able to find the entire show.
I remember watching (and loving) this when it first aired. I recall it being presented as a "limited series" right from the start, which I thought was odd as I'd never heard that phrasing used for a TV show before. So either it was never intended to be continued, or they knew before hand the show would be cancelled. Considering it has a real ending, I suspect it was just meant to be 13 eps all along, though it does make me wonder why it wasn't simply marketed as a "mini-series" in that case? Odd piece of TV history. In any case, a big thank you for uploading this.
This was not intended to be a miniseries. However, seeing as it was unpopular both with the public and the channel, the showrunner and the writers decided it wise to conclude the series by an episode which could be viewed either as a real (downbeat) finale, or as a cliffhanger. This comes from oner of the sources I read (see the pinned comment). If you watch closely, Paul is not yet dead by the end, so presumably the next episode would have seen Sydney and Lynn teaming up and finding another dose of the cure. Could have been exciting, I enjoyed Sydney's character, it was somewhat different from the cliché girlfriend in other series.
I agree with part of what you're saying; except. the plot, characters, actors, concept. It'd be good if someone picked this up after changing the aforementioned, plot, characters, actors, concept and stuff..
@@Brokenneckj let me guess. The film needs a gay transvestite crossdressing gender fluid person fighting for he/she's right to marry a turtle. But the the man is out to get him so he/she burns down the local mini mart.
Couldn't recall this series until I recognized the cloak and dagger scenario over a drug that treats his symptoms, not a cure, to keep him jumping thru the hoops. Sounds a lot like the V.A. Healthcare system over the past 25 yrs.
medicare patients now too. making it impossible to get pain meds, i guess they're hoping all of us in serious pain will just either kill ourselves off or turn to heroin and OD. it's disgusting how america treats its veterans and the medical racket is a criminal shame
Firefly wasn’t cancelled because it didn’t earn. It was canceled because it was popular and Sci-fi wanted a bigger slice of the back end revenue; SciFi wanted to own ALL IP rights to subsequent episodes, and to the Firefly universe (ie Jos Whedon’s brain). They wanted to leverage the shows popularity against the future global earnings of the entire creative team. They cancelled BECAUSE it was about to hit, they knew it, and they got greedy. It’s a bully maneuver: All or nothing. There was lots of IP lawyer wrangling over parts of Serenity. And it’s all under a gag order. SciFi (excuse me, “SyFy”) is a bully netco with a draconian business model. They’ve got a heapin helping of humble pie coming and I hope it hurts their lawyers and execs bad.
@Truth Seeker He's got a point, don't think? Do you really think a commercial TV channel has a political agenda and cancels shows that "make people think"? If anything, watching a lot of TV dumbs people down, whatever they watch. If dumbing down people was their aim, they would put on all the best shows, so people never got up from their couch. Anyway, even if I'm not into conspiracy theories, people can believe whatever they like, no matter how farfetched.
@Shaun Moorcroft elijah mikle & peter moeller talk down to you because such ilk comment simply to strut their stupid so you just have to let them because their stupid cannot accept anything else but more stupid. After a while their stupid will run out and they will have to go find someone to spoon feed them, again.
The quality of the uploaded videos reflects the best quality available. There is no 720p source. There is no Bluray release, there is no DVD release, there is no VHS release even. All that publicly exists are these VCR-ed video with poor bitrate, poor compression and poor colors. No one knows the series. No one cares. If you want 720p from these, do it yourself. You will only worsen the image. Good luck.
@@HathnamedWell, 720p is one thing. But the recordings I made in MPEG-2 (native DVD format) from satellite are clearer, in a larger frame without enlargement resulting in pixelation. 720 x 504 or something, I think. And a pretty good bitrate too. The show itself was apparently produced in mostly low-light situations, it seems. I recorded them in segments, from commercial break to commercial break, so that eventually I can edit them together clean. I started doing that because I found in the past that just cutting out the commercial breaks from shows recorded as a single file might introduce problems in the playback.
@@skiptoloo9506 You made recordings of this show? In better quality? If so, you should upload them here, or share them otherwise. It is a completely forgotten show, and if it has no fans to maintain it, it will eventually disappear or be rendered unwatchable by youtube compression. I don't have the source recording, these uploads are from a source I found on the Internet. It was difficult, too; and there may be no other source (well, except maybe on closed trackers). I checked. For example, the source file which I uploaded for The Pilot weights 284 MB (of which 34 are for audio), and has a bitrate of only 800 kb/s.

I don't get it. Was the Burke buy creating baby clones of himself thinking that he can continue to live through them? I mean, obviously, that's not true or else identical twins wouldn't have separate minds of their own.

There is a definite value to these pilots. They make you appreciate all skilled cinema technicians, actors and soundtrack composers.

Thanks for taking the time to upload these. Much appreciated.
Thanks for putting this up mate. This was before X Files and a lot closer to the truth in so many episodes, too scary to be a hit.
The X-Files premiered in 1993, seven entire years before this show ever even aired.

there is also a problem with picture and camera use.
