Have you ever noticed the mk7 rainbow road theme is in itself a remix of the N64 theme. I might be overthinking this but I suspect the mk7 RR to be a reference to the N64 since it has roughly the same asthetics and is sectioned into three parts.
MK7 has a bunch of references to MK64. Toad's Turnpike leitmotif is used in Neo Bowser City, winning and losing fanfares and musics are remixes of MK64, and of course, N64 Rainbow Road leitmotif is used in 3DS Rainbow Road. A specific part of Toad/Mario Circuit theme also sounds similar to MK64 Raceway theme. Mario's 3DS era as a whole was filled with references to old games, the most obvious being New Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 referencing Super Mario Bros. 3 with the Tanooki Leaf powerup.

They’re legacy instruments. You can still utilize GarageBand instruments in Logic since both have the same build.
