    In this video interview, Dr. Andy Kiser discusses the hybrid ablation (also called the hybrid procedure) in which cardiac surgeons and electrophysiologists collaborate to do a surgical ablation and a catheter ablation in the same setting. Doing so can provide a tailored approach for each patient.
    Dr. Kiser is Chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Professor of Surgery at the University of North Carolina.

    Just had both procedures, with the Hybrid Ablation and catheter ablation done at the same time and in recovery mode right now....surgery on Tuesday out on Thursday with new medication no Afib recurrence yet, but did have pericarditis after the surgery that is being treated with anti-inflammation and colcchine .

    Thinking of having Ablation at Mayo Jax Florida.I Mine Started Jan 2013 with rare episodes n short periods.I'm told I am in the 1st Stage...do you think I would me a candidate?
