IMPORTANT Major issue with oil pressure. This is a common issue with Kawasaki.
Please share comments on why this issue happens and how to repair.
Dude… you have no idea how impossible it was to find any information on the issue I was having with my 07 and this video was it. She was dying on me on the highway for MONTHS. Thank you. This fixed it.
Glad the video helped brother!
Bro same!!! Died on me twice and couldnt figure out why.
I just rebuilt a wrecked 2023 Kawasaki ZX10R, and when I finally started the engine I realized the red oil pressure light and orange check engine light were on with running engine.
Stumble upon your video and thought "no way cracking the oil filter loose and run the engine would change anything", but I tried anyway.
Then re-tighten the oil filter, started it again and... oil pressure and engine light both disappeared, bike is now 100%!
You came through, thanks a lot man!
Aye I love comments like these! Let's me know I'm not wasting my time making these videos 😂. Glad I could help you out! Thanks for watching!
My man!!! 😎👊👊👊
I have done many oil changes on my previous '18 ZX10R
and now my '23 ZX10R without any problems at all. I just
now finished doing an oil change and was starting to get
really nervous because after running it a couple different
times for like 20-30 seconds the oil light stayed on and
the oil level wasn't moving. I searched up your video and
BOOM!!! Crack open the filter right after starting the bike,
oil light goes out, oil level goes down in the window.....
problem solved! Thanks so much for posting up the vid!
Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🏍🏁

Thanks for the heads up bro, bout to do my first break in oil change. Didn’t know about this oil filter stuff
Thanks for checking out the video. First oil change on a bike is always the best one! Hope it goes well!
This oil filter burping worked for my kawasaki zx14. Thanks for the video. I don't have hard clunk sound when changing into first gear and oil pressure light is off.
Same thing happened to me on my 03 zx6r and I noticed if you keep the oil filler cap off on first startup it helps to get the pump going. may have to still burp it but may not.
That's a solid tip. I may try that next time, just to test it out.
The other words are looking for ,, “Vent” when you loosen up the “drain plug” it’s not called a fill hole. 😂😂
Just did a change on my 5th gen and didn't prime my filter. Just lubed the Oring and slapped it on filled the crank case and pump pulled oil though immediately on startup. Couldn't really find much information on this either. Good info though bro. Didn't know this before hand.
Looks like your bike handles it pretty well. I never had this issue with my GSXR or my Tracer. Guess it just depends on the bike.
Did you change filter first, and then drain old oil?
Its crazy how there is no info on this! Its like people dont do their own oil changes on Zx10s
Ne kadar yağ koydunuz motora ? 2.9 L 3.2 L ?
you tighten that drain bolt no joke :))
Very handy vid … thanks
Thanks for checking the video out family
I run my zx10r on the full side with oil. About mm above the full line
Do you still have this bike? Has this happened again after the video?
Yes, this happens every time. I've gotten used to leaving the filter slightly loose when I first start the engine after the oil change.
Good info brotha!
Thanks brother #KawiBoyz
Can you recommend any good bike stand?
I use one from Trackside... first and only stand I've used. Has been flawless for 2 years! Putbull stands are really good as well.
Thanks! Ride safe!
Didnt know about the Kawis and having to burp it.. Interesting. Motul 7100 is one of the best oils the only one better is motul 300v but that is really only if you are riding extremely hard like at a track. Amsoil is very good and heard good things about royal purple.
Very true. I use to run 300V. Very good oil. I hear Amsoil is good as well! Thanks for the comment J Twizzle!

zx10r 2022 how many liters to change?
Need about 4 liters
@@6GearCutloe including oil filter replacement ?
@Dương Thịnh Yep.
@@hsyejrvvsjrvcd change oil and filter about every 5,000 km
SIMPLE FIX ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS INCREASE RPM THE PUMP WILL START PUMPING OIL THRU...YOU DONT HAVE TO BURB THE FILTER.....
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
✌🏾👑👍🏿
I RIDE ZX10R I START HE MOTOR AFTER ITS DRAINED TO EMPTY ALL OIL FROM THE PUMP WHEN I REFILL WITH OIL THE OIL LIGHT COMES ON TELLING YOU NO OIL GOING THRU INCREASE RPM TO 5 TO 10000 OIL STARTS PUMPING EVERY TIME..
LOL , “ liquidy “ .. The word you looking for is Thinner .. “Ya na wa I me”
Thanks for the feedback Chris.
Bruh your chain screaming for attention 🤦🏼♀️ try out Mobile 1 4t racing way better oil motul is actually too thick a mechanic I know said all the sport bikes with blown engines used motul oil. I felt my bike struggling more with 300v than mobile 1 racing oil.
"Screaming for attention" , "mobile 1 4t is way better" , and an anonymous mechanic you know said all the sport bikes with blown engines use motul. Got it. Is there anything you like about the video?
