My 6s is starting to do this in the SAME EXACT SPOT ! everything’s original i don’t want to get a new phone but I’m starting to not trust the battery it’s the only thing that could be getting hot

I’m planning on popping my 6 open once I get an 8 and visually inspecting the battery if it’s bad I’m definitely getting it replaced so I have a backup phone

When I was swapping out the flex cable from my old screen the proximity sensor got ripped off the flex cable. The phone got blazing hot after a few minutes so I know that's what cause the overheating.

Yes ,i experienced the same. I got front cam flex teared accidently.after that same area of the screen below the earpiece begun to heat abnormally. I ordered a new cam flex cable and will test replacimg it when i receive the good.

@@rodeojhonmhelpaulm.4707 I found the reason. Check if your auto brightness or true tone is working, if not, then the cause is likely a short circuit on the ambient light sensor. I just can’t get it repaired right away because covid >:(

I have the same probelm, i treid removing fron cam flex , touch id .it is the display unit which generating the heat. My display has a crack too.
