Josh deserves so much better. He was put through so much unnecessary shit. He’s been the bigger person this whole time and he’s doing so much good for so many different communities. He’s using all the bad in his life to help ppl and I love him so much.
I never understood all that petty drama, glad he came out She Said He Said She Said. No hate to Olivia at all, Joshua is just more of my cup of tea with the kind of messages and content he puts out. Both are very talented people and I wished all the negativity can disapate. There's a difference between having a voice of reason and just being closeminded. I'm glad he's doing better.

This interview breaks my heart. Without knowing anything the public treated him so unfairly. No one should ever have to go through what he did. I wish i could go back in time to last year and just give him a hug 💔
honestly I feel so bad for him. He went through so many heavy stuff that he really didn't deserve. We as fans (his and every other artist related to him) need to learn to be better. He's so well spoken and has such a good and kind heart, he deserves better!
And he's so right on the abuse thing and not being able to speaking up just because you really shut down and block everything that happened, it's not easy and people really don't get that.

He endured so much things in his life and he always give us positive vibes when DL come out people bullied him and I felt so bad for him we saw the worst in people... I am happy that he speaks fearlessly his truth and how authentic he is.

The title is misleading. I clicked on this video thinking it was relatable. What happened to this young man is far, far worse than just "child abuse." He was molested. I've never cried so much. Hearing him say he has to regulate his nervous system was too much. This interview was high key tragic. I can't stop crying.

It's so impressive to see how passionate and determined he is about forcing difficult conversations, and changing things for those who might not have the privileges or platform he does. I didn't know who he was before clicking on a couple of these interviews, but I'm a fan now.
So much of his pain and struggle I can relate to, I'm so proud he can advocate for abused victim. I think he is such an inspiring artist and human being. He deserve all the success and peace in the world.
There are few people in this world who are as kind, genuine and loving as Josh. I have so much respect for him and only hope that we can all take inspiration from him and do better - spread love not hate ❤️

I'm not a super super fan of Joshua I heard his songs and loved them. And watching this I respect him so much for speaking for victims of sexual abuse it's so good to see someone my age adressing. He almost died, he blocked all those memories, people were saying they wanted to kill him and still here he is being polite,educated and with the goal of spreading kidness. I just don't have words he is my age and I don't think I could talk like this about all the shit I been through knowing that anyone could watch I still have a hard time telling everything to my therapist. Really a respect Joshua a lot.

Sexual abuse can be a life sentence for some people! Most will bury the experience and have it manifest years later as drug /alcohol addiction along with a plethora of other lifelong emotional and mental issues. I'm glad he chose to discuss it openly instead of letting it define who he is and how he lives his life. ✌❤

He is SUCH a spectacular person. Truly an inspiration for someone my age, since we are basically the same in that department. But it's so refreshing to see someone so thoughtful. Of course, Joshua has great looks, a great voice, a great talent, but he truly has a gold heart which is what makes him incredible to be around. I love watching anything with him, hearing him speak his mind and the wisdom he has to share. It truly gives me a piece of that lust for life again. You can see how smart he is 💜 I just watch HSMSS and I was really amazed 😇 That's why I search about him and it's totally a package of an amazing person. I love him sooo much. Coming out is not easy too but I still love him more than ever.
I had a depressive episode just a few days ago, the world felt so dark and lonely, but I stumbled upon Joshua Bassett again, one series of events led to another, and here I was watching this video again, an absolute blessing. I admire how well spoken he is, how open he is, and it served me great inspiration to continue on with my journey. He truly is just an amazing person to look up to. Channeling his pain into something greater, into something meaningful. We're not too much different which is the amazing part because he really proves your mental issues don't define you as a person and it's how you choose to go about it that matters. He's become very successful, but money isn't the only thing I'm talking about when it comes to success, its his infinite wisdom and courage.
The truth is, I was also mistreated a lot when I was younger. It led me to question my self worth which was the crazy part because I looked at Joshua and thought "I'd never be friends with him, he's too cool" but hearing him share these thoughtful sentiments made me realize that's not true at all and that trauma really warps your understanding of how beautiful you just are, how worthy you are of respect. These truly amazing people didn't just spawn into the positions they're in, they fought with bravery and grew themselves into a brighter spot in life.
As someone who was also told the same ignorant things, I really resonate with him. I'm so glad more and more people are speaking up and standing up. There is hope for the future. Thank you Joshua. I hope he knows how special he is. I hope one day I can tell him personally.

This interview is truly heartbreaking...on the flipside it's great that Joshua Bassett can be able to express himself and to allow himself to be himself. And not be afraid. We all need to be able to state "it's not ok" and we all need to check in with one another. We need to be able to rely on ourselves to express pain and other emotional issues. #Bebetter #speakup don't be afraid to speak our truth. Use your platforms for good
