Yes not to mention the poor location of our battery on this particular 2016 model. I understand now they’re under the front hood. Like I said I wasn’t in on any design meetings on this one !
I had a 2004 sportsman 500 that my dad beat hunting and trapping. Thing had 2 axles relaced, bushings and bearings twice and sadley only 2 services in 12000 km other than the break in 25 hr service snd the thing would not die. Maybe it was a fluke because another person from the area had the identical bike and just used it for trail riding and it fell apart.
I have a 2020 model. My manual says 3 pumps maximum, every 500 miles. I found my machine a bit on the dry side from the factory, so I put 5 pumps in mine at 75 miles. I'll hit it with 3 more pumps after 500 miles (as stated in the manual).
Yes Polaris wants you to take your vehicle in and spend $1000 to replace that part that’s why they said three or four pumps. Mine was Dry as a desert !
@@kevinsimon8594 Hi Kevin I just used good quality automotive grease in my grease gun. I’m sure Polaris has a special grease they want you to use so they can bend you over and charge you $20 a tube !
Its a simple job. You don't have to remove the foot rest. Turn the shaft so it points directly at you on right side. Or 3 o'clock position. Your gun will slip right on. Do not pump 40 pumps FCS!
Not sure why u tube is advertising (and making money)on my video sorry folks 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I’m pretty sure you can get to it from a hole in the underside skid plate
I simply cannot be the only person that finds themself fantasizing about punching the Polaris engineer in the face.

@@robertdean6222 And how hard it is to check/fill the front gearcase fluid, if you happen to have the AUDACITY to have a winch installed. Insane!!
I would pay to punch their engineers, my 450 HO was parked for a month waiting on their engineers to figure out how to wrap wires with tape.
I didn’t know ! Thanks
Went to lube this fitting again this year……no nipple just the hole . No threads in the hole either . Thanks Polaris . 2015 570 sportsman
Can you not get the the grease fitting from under the bike

What type of grease do you use? I have a 2020 570 as well
I use a waterproof synthetic grease that I use for my tractor. It's called Green Grease

Hi Mr. Dean, How did you know it was full? I was a little unclear on that. BTW I have the exact same model and milage lol.
Sorry for the late response But just like a car it will eventually fill up and ooze out somewhere, Usually out of a rubber boot or somewhere
What kind of grease gun you use?
Sorry for the late response, I just use a common grease gun I use to grease my trucks with.
