    For the first time in my life, I made a drawing in QCAD! Thank you!

    Thanks for the great video. To insert the diameter symbol, simply "right click" in the label box of the property editor and a drop down menu appears with "insert symbol" as the first option and a bunch of options are there.

    Really good, thank you. SendCutSend wants everything drawn on QCAD to ensure tool paths are absolutely correct.

    guess instead of drawing circle then trim it is easier to use the round corner at modification menu and give the radius and click on the lines. it's like fillet in *cad

    Great tutorial! Indeed the drawing is missing two objects, the hidden line at the section where the 30 ° angle is and the target line at the main image for the 50mm width of the object. ;)

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  3 года назад

      - Hidden lines are usualy not used when using sections.
      - Not sure what do you mean with target line for 50mm object

    aligned dimension and no need to change from vertical to horizontal

    Hi, I'm a bit late to this QCAD program, I'm using version 3.29 and unfortunately the trail removal hack doesn't work.

    Been looking for a 2d drafting program to make my leather patterns, cheers for this vid!
    BTW, chain dimensioning like that? Cardinal sin. Don't do that on engineering drawings.

    Подскажите ,можно ли в этой программе изменить размер отрезка ? или она только измеряет ?

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  3 года назад +1

      It just measure (измеряет), it is not parametric drawing (like F360)

    I can't work out how to draw over an imported jpeg image so that I can see all the lines permanently instead of the image being on top. I am newish to CAD so no not understand layers that well Is there a simple way to do this?

    Great tutorial and thank you very much for taking the time to make it. Just one question: In the beginning, you deleted the DLLs to make it the free version. One of them had dwg in the name. Does this mean that the free version does not support dwg and the pro version does?

    Far far easier to learn than TurboCad. Far cheaper too!

      I am using several CAD software, but if I have to draw something quickly and not too complicated, I will always use QCAD.

    before buying , be aware that the $40 fee does not gives you access to the CAM plugin , you have Qcad pro , that's all , no CAM.I was trapped in this...

    I hope more people would be like me and totally ignore videos with full-length selfies. It's becoming a very annoying and totally unnecessary RUclips turn-off. Do these people actually think it improves a video watching them pull faces?

    no no no no no. I'm not a thick person, at least i didn't think so. Every time i try draw something in cad it fxcks up. So i followed exactly what you do (except i cant see your hands and what shortcuts your pressing on keyboard.)
    So i plant the first co-ordinate 0;0. then i click the same box again like you do and its off the page!!!!!!!!! Doesn't go UP. like yours, do you click inbetween? please explain every single click you make. i have loads of dots i cant get rid of now without starting fresh and loosing all the layers i just spent 5 minutes doing....... its SO frustrating when your computer is not doing what someone elses is. i need someone by my side, there is no way this could be of use to me.. im sure your doing everything right, but if you have missed out ANYTHING i'm done for and my computer will not react the same. Christ i just wanted to draw a quick drip tray for work but i cant even draw the a4 border! its not complicated its just knowing how each software works and when you have never used cad before you have to start from absolute scratch like me. Now i have lost the fxcking co-ordinate toolbar on the bottom. honestly like wtf. is there anything more basic than this????????? clearly my computer skills only cover ms office. i thought a 10 minute youtube video would help me draw the most basic item, but obviously not.

      Design a hollow cylinder? Those are just lines. You cannot design in 3D, only 2D with QCAD.

      CPU, check hardware requirements. But 2D is easy for todays computers. qcad.org/en/faq
