I have had a hauler for about 5 years, and it has held up great! I like it because it is NOT water tight. You can leave sticks and lawn debris in it until you are ready to dump, and it it rains, the water drains right out and you don't end up with a soupy mess in your cart. And the ability to fold flat makes it extremely handy for hauling fence posts or lumber around the property. A great little cart!
Before I bought my cub cadet, I would tell my wife, “look how happy those people are mowing their lawn !” That was my justification for buying one. Now, I am completely off medication and am happy.
I picked up both the 'hauler' and the 'leaf collection system' for my XT2 GX54D, largely from your praise and your great video here. Your assembly instructions were very helpful, especially when it came to that 'first hole' that the arrow points to in the printed instructions that you say "no, use the second hole" to! So thanks for that. My plastic piece that snaps in (that the big tube goes into) doesn't fit as well as yours, not sure why, but I get by. Of note- when you use it as a grass bagger (instead of just leaves) it's quite dusty and grass tends to fill in between the structural poles and the fabric, making dumping & cleanout a challenge instead of easy. But I absolutely LOVE that hauler cart man, that thing is great!
I have the leaf collector also and used it at the tail end of last year. When you pack the bag and fill it up to the top with all those mulched leaves, it's a win for us...take that mother nature! Fall leaves 2021, you've lost the war already.
That is really nice actually like the fact you can see through the plastic hose God forbid anything gets stuck but this has to make cleaning up your yard so easy and nice like
I used to have several very old deciduous trees, including a HUGE (50+ ft. tall) silver maple. Over many years, all my trees (except 2 conifers) grew decrepit, dropped dead, and were removed. But before you weep for me, consider that I no longer have to rake for hours and hours every year. I don't miss a damned one of those trees. My neighbors have tons of them anyway. Therefore: I had no need to watch this video. But because it's from Mr. Clint de los TRZ, that makes it mandatory viewing anyway... if only for the sheer entertainment value. Rock on, and keep showing those damned leaves who's boss, dude! 🤘 I'm kind of surprised how well it did with pine needles... Looking forward to the actual leaf follow-up video.
I am glad that you like the dump trailer that is made by the company I work for the plastic is hdpe with blowing agent additive through a structure foam press. This thing should hold up for a long time.
I hope that works for ya. But I’m thinking that tube will plug if you get into heavy stuff. I’ve got a DR setup with a powered impeller. Sits got a pretty big engine on it. Quite the trick to keep the hose from kinking when you turn into the rig (I’m pulling behind a Ferris iz2100 52 inch deck). I blow the leaves from beds and everywhere onto the grass first. It will completely clean leaves up to a range of 4 inches thick, and between the deck and the powered impeller there is absolutely nothing it misses. On my 1.5 acres I usually get about 12 loads of leaves in the fall cleanup. Usually run it again in early spring to get a clean start for spring, and the rest of the year I mulch. I bought a pair of high lift John Deer blades and converted them to fit my Ferris. The move a ton of air.
I have used this type of machine before. I am sorry when things are dry it works sort of well . Damp ground it will block up and course lots of trouble. Before people say what would you know i was a grounds man for many years
I just purchased a ZTS1 and investigated using this system with it. The only reason it will not work out of the box with a zero turn is that the hose is not long enough - a zero turn has the deck farther forward from the hitch point compared to a traditional mower. The hose is about 58" and the dealer thinks it needs to be 72". So, I ordered the unit and will buy a new hose once I receive it.
Never rake a leaf, I don't bother with pickup attachment. I just drive the Yazoo-Kees zero over the leaves and they're mulched into oblivion. Love those zero turns.
Wow. That would be perfect for my little yard. 160ft long. 2 big maple trees with big leaves, one in front yard an other in back yard. I got a yard machine rider.
I just keep blowing the leaves in one direction mowing them, then I rake them on a big tarp and drag them off to the curb for my city to collect them. The tarp method is the best for me. I drag off huge leaf doobies.
Hay brother what's up the only thing I do like about fall is changing of the color on the tree's it's the little things especially after the week I had I wish last week never happened but keep up the great videos 👊😎🇺🇸
Get a long sleeve thermal underwear shirt. We do that at work during winters because we have branded t-shirts we have to wear. It should make tank top possible all year
Great video, man! I have a ZT2 (50) and in your other video on the hauler, you didn’t state if this fit. But you cleared it up in the comments here. I’m just bummed the leaf collector doesn’t fit with the ZT2.
It only fits Lawn Tractors made by MTD. The Leaf and Grass shoot in the kit will not fit a John Deere. I had to buy a Husqvarna Grass Shoot to make it work on my Husqvarna all explained in the comments section in the 2nd Video the poster above provided.
Can anyone tell me if the cart we have will work with this system? it is 40" x 30" x 12" deep. I tried to find information on the CC cart and it looks like it is quite a bit bigger. Thank you
I thought those plates were for installing your red dot sight on your Cub Cadet so that you can co-witness the leaves and pine needles that your targeting for pickup.
Well I got a cyclone rake !!! Those are junk. Just trying to get you to buy something you won’t be happy with. Cyclone rake is the best by far lawn maintenance equipment I ever bought!! Don’t be fooled by all those cheap brackets!!!
This system actually works great for $399. Not everyone is going to buy a Cyclone rake for the kind of money they go for. I agree Cyclone is the best but the cheapest and smallest one starts at just under $1600 to their best around $3200. I have about 3/4 of a acre of property to take care of. This Cub Cadet System works better then anything else out there in its price range hands down at $400 less a lawn cart. I used a 10 cube lawn cart I already had. It will cost people $400 or more just for a 2 bucket grass bagger for their tractor.
@@ffas23 ty sir, I found the chute PN a few days after commenting. A couple of trips to TSC and I have a 44 ga. collector. Works really well; I even used it to clean up the dead grass after dethatching.
@@ffas23 Kinda... I wanted something a little more compact, but a little more robust than a typical bagger attachment. I put a 44 ga. Brute can on the back of my old Huskee, found a small chute, formed a second chute from black sintra, and connected it to the can with a HVAC inlet and 1' of flexible tube. Pretty happy with how it turned out. with the deck raised up, it gives me 2 cans of well chopped up leaves. TSC is Tractor Supply; it's my go-to place for hardware.
We bought one like it and it didn't work for shit. The grass and leaves have to be extremely dry or the shout will stop-up. I would not recommend at all.
Stop collecting leaves and mow over them with your lawn mower. You will have a nicer lawn next year. My backyard gets a ton of leaves and I mulch them with the mower and get a beautiful green lawn the next season. So silly to waste all that energy/money picking them up!
Don't rake leaves? I wouldn't think of it anyways. I mow over the leaves and mulch them back into the soil. That's where they belong, nitrogen back where it came from.
Yep and stop every 15 ft to go and dump those double baggers out if you have a ton of leaves. Been there done that. I prefer this system and it cost the same as a double bagger without the cart.
Plastic, Hmmm.... I went for steel trailer. It will last longer and less environmental pollution. Plastic ends up in the ocean. And now: my grandchildren can enjoy the trailer as well. It's almost indestructible. That plastic will wear in the weather and ends up breaking sooner or later. All my equipment is steel/aluminium. Lasts so, so much longer
I have been using my 10 Cube Steel Trailer I have owned since 1985 with this bagging system. It’s hard to believe it sat outside all those years. I just needed to replace one tire on it before the Leaf Bagger System arrived. It fits my cart well. Come spring I am going to repaint my Trailer for the first time. Why not it has served me well all these years. A little Rustoleum Black Paint and it will almost look like new.
This product is expensive, low-capacity, awkward to empty, has poor maneuverability, requires hookup, inconvenient to store. I'll stick with my Craftsman bagger. It handles my one-acre Connecticut lawn with ease. I deal with two-hundred year-old oak trees losing their leaves each fall.
I got a much cheaper option. I use mulching blades and a chute blocker. Pulverizes leaves into nothing. Yes I have many mature trees in my yard and after I'm finished you can't even tell there was ever any leaves.
Please post a video. I'm thinking you have no idea how many leaves some of us have in our yard. Literally six inches of leaves. I don't think mulching them will reduce them to nothing.
I’m 3 days into the same Cub Cadet setup using the electric XT1 LT42E tractor, cleaning up mature oak and maple. It’s absolutely incredible. Pushed the limits driving through a 12” pile I blew and it had no problem. I’m using mulching blades but wish it chopped them up a bit more. It takes me 6 hours to blow 1/2 acre, but only 1 hour and 4 dumps with this. 🎉
The hauler can be used on a ZT but not the leaf collection system.
Thank you, too bad the 3 bagger does not hold a much and is more$$$
Works great with the ZTS1 - just one modification is needed, a longer hose - 84" to be exact.

Speaking from experience, in no time it'll get all scratched inside, coated with mud, etc, and you won't be able to see thru.
Yeah, but you could probably wash it out pretty easy. Scratches would be a different thing though

Buy a Trac-Vac and be set for life... My 560 just turned 43 years old. Reengined once. You get what you pay for.

How did it turn out...putting the order in for it now but I really want this leaf collector
Just got a LT50.. and this seems like a much more versatile option than the bagger setup...

Does this double as a bagger for grass, also does a regular bagger do this with the pine needles and leafs?
Yes seems a little redundant as this is basically a giant bagging system.

Good video, could you please tell me the part number for the leaf collection system. Thank you

Great review & demo!
Any idea if this will fit a 42 “ deck on a JD D110?

Any thoughts on the Leaf Collector vs the Sweeper? Does either Dethatch?
Can you cut the grass with this too a use it as a bagger to collect the grass
Great video, Where can we find the 1yr later review u mentioned?
Nasss!!! Hopefully Randy hooked you with some Mtn Dew for picking up those needles haha I wonder how that would do with chestnuts/walnuts
Hahaha, na. He is still mad at me, but I'm just trying to get on his good side
Outstanding review, thanks!
Thanks Jessica! Fyi... it's still going strong 💪
I got my cub cart, Same cart. only $75. When it was originally $300. brand new.
please note its the same techknowlegy as in the factory gaylords they can put 75 collapsed units in the same space as the old metal bins staked 5 high
Did you use the anti jackknife plate?
Wow merci Québec Canada love 😮😅
I have a triple bagger o. My cub ,will this hd more leaves than that.

It fits my steel 10 Cube Cart perfectly if that helps any. I can’t imagine it fitting anything much bigger.
Man I need something like this for My John Deer Tractor. I have to deal with Leaf hell every Fall..
using bungee cords to slip a tarp onto the JD bagger without the bags. make a balloon out of the tarp tying the end.
It could be done but you will need to buy a grass shoot for your John Deere. The one that comes with the kit only fits MTD Lawn Tractors
Wow love Canada Merci Québec M.T.L 😂❤
Did you or anyone determine if the leaf collection system can actually be used on a Toro TImeCutter Zero Turn 42”? Thank you!
Hi, I’m the same here, Toro ZT 4880, if you do get the info could you pass it along to me please. Thank you.
Is there an attachment for cub cadet z1 the house attachment does not reach the hauler?
I thought those plates were for installing your red dot sight on your Cub Cadet so that you can co-witness the leaves and pine needles that your targeting for pickup.

omg you crack me up lmao
hate leaves, good effort tks

Do you know if it's possible to buy JUST the chute where it connects to the deck?
It comes with a shoot to fit MTD made Tractors. They are available by themselves online at plenty of places.

Real naice like!
I never rake leaves, I wait for the wind that always comes and watch the neighbors clean up my leaves all weekend. hahahahaha
Did your kids ask to give them a ride on it? If so, how did it go?? Haha
Stop raking leaves and buy a Toro Super Recycler. It makes leaves disappear.
