George Lynch designed this guitar in 1987 with a WW2 Japanese fighter/bomber aircraft theme, similar to the USAF,both the Japanese navy and army forces fighters/Bombers would represent each aerial victory with a white star for each American plane shot down and a bomb for each successful sortie if a bomber. Hence, the bombs graphic.
