The emblem in the video is not the pentagram or a pentacle, which are often used in pagan and satanic beliefs. The emblem in the video is the heartagram which is the emblem of the band and is one of the most recognisable symbols in rock music. It is the combination of a heart and a pentagram, and is supposed to represent the band's music, tones and themes. The heart representing the sentimental themes in the bands music and lyrics where as the pentagram is supposed to represent the more masculine, heavy hitting, hard rock edge of the music. Overall the symbol represents the juxtposition and contrasts of life. Love & death, joy & sorrow, dark & light etc etc which are contrasts often explored in the lyrics. Like a modern day version of Yin and Yang, same concept.
As for HIM being a dark band, they are often classified as gothic/emo rock or metal. But their themes and sound change between each album you listen to, the same trademark sounds are there though. The band themselves classify themselves as "Love Metal" or the melancholic, sentimental edge of rock music. Just wanted the clear some things up about them for ya, I'm glad you enjoyed the song. P.S. HIM was the first band from their native country of Finland to earn a Gold Record in America and they did it with the help of this song and the album this song debuted on.

Also, I think someone already said, but they’re not a satanic band. They just like to play with the imagery as metaphors for the struggles of human emotions, particularly love. Their logo - the Heartagram - was created by their singer as a representation of the good and bad of these things. That’s why their music is commonly called “Love Metal” 😊
