When someone asks me why I looooove Finland...it's Ville and Lauri....❤ It's Nightwish....it's Negative...it's Children of Bodom....I mean this country is the country of huge voices and metal music! 🖤🙏
When I was a kid, it was the only version of Wicked Game I knew 😅 Gosh! more than 20 years ago.. 😢 But my favourite song of HIM is Sleepwalking past hope (live is available in RUclips).
Yes HIM was very much known for melancholic Love Songs, for Ville Valos Voice and the Guitar Solo of Mikko Lindström. I totally forgot hat slow Collaboration. What happend with Lauri Ylönen. The Rasmus - i remember.. they were cool, different. (In the Shadows)
I saw apocalyptica in Los Angeles doing their Metallica set. Holy shit. I’ve never seen anything like it. They came out to this beautiful stretched out nothing else matters (the audience is the singer) did an intermission to add drums, and then proceeded to rip the roof off. Unbelievable. I was so happy that I caught both shows.
Goosebumps when Lauri sings. I respect Ville as musician I dont know too much his songs, but which songs of The rasmus I was hearing it was really amazing really special, cause voice of Lauri is really outstanding. Ville has very low voice and I think its not my climate, but here is very good addition to Lauri's voice its something new and fresh for me to hear it 😊
In the making of the video they say she’s dead and it was kind of a love triangle. The video itself was shot like a fantasy and not reality based. Like it has a spiritual theme. They did not explain what the ending meant only that it was a surprise so I guess that’s up to the viewer to decide. If I’m remembering correctly Ville and Lauri were interested in the occult at that time.
I've always thought the two singers in this song as representations of two parts of a single man's personality, who's struggling with a loss of a loved one. I guess I've made a different (/miss-) interpretation than what they intended.
@@TheGlassgubben I’ve seen that interpretation by fans before. And I love it. Their own meanings of their songs changes over time as well as they don’t always share every aspect of it so it really is what we all make of it. I think You should stick with your interpretation, it fits really well.
@@sussie5463 I tend to only take in a proportion of the lyrics, even after listening to the same song dozens of times, so I can sometimes make interpretations that are impossible if all lyrics are considered. Of course I'll stick with my interpretation, which I would do for any song unless I notice something new or something about me changes that force me to change it.
Considering it was a Ouiji table, my conclusion is that they were contacting their dead lover on the other side. Ouijis are famous for causing possessions or letting spirits through to our realm. So seeing her 'falling asleep' at the end just before they stop with their black eyes suggests she possessed both of them. "I won't give up, I'm possessed by her" "I'm bearing her cross, she's turned into my curse"
Hey Lee! It would be awesome if you could react to some songs in the new The Rasmus album that came out a few months ago. Only one of the songs has an official video, BUT The Rasmus uploaded every song (audio only) on their official RUclips channel. My top songs from that album are Evil, Be Somebody and Fireflies.
Such an awesome song. The song is what got me in Apocalyptica. But since i don't want to keep you in the dark, but the idea if i remember right, is both Ville and Lauri's characters are both in love with the same woman and she ended up dying (hence the ouija table) and they were singing about breaking the chains she has on them both so they can essentially move on with life. Fun fact 1, Apocalyptica, Ville and Laurie are all finnish. Fun fact 2, apparently the woman in the film clip is one of their sisters.
I know I'm a year late in finding this, but I hope you see this nonetheless😊. It most certainly was a love triangle. She was in a relationship with Ville's character, but died. Lauri's character was in love with her, and according to Lauri per the 'making of', "wants in on the relationship". Based on the lines, "I won't give up, I'm possessed by her." And, "I'm bearing her cross, she's turned into my curse." I believe that they managed to contact her, and in doing so she possessed both of them at the end, since she 'falls asleep' just before they open their black eyes.
Ville valo’s voice plus that cello kills me. Like I’m possibly dead right now and just don’t know it yet
This is one of my favorite songs ever. 2 of my favorite vocalists and apocalyptica is amazing as well
Ville Valo & Natalie Avalon - Summer Wine
100%
Finally! 🤘 I really like Ville's voice on this song.
There is also Apocalyptica song, where is only Lauri Ylönen singing. You should try that. It's called "life burns"
Greetings from Finland☺️
That song is amazing! 🔥
He's got several songs with them out now. Life Burns is a really good one tho.

I highly recommend checking out an Apocalyptica instrumental. It shows off their incredible talent even more.

Yeah Ville the Cello with Lauri as Violin perfect combo :D

Perhaps check out Apocalyptica’s Life Burns? Personally it’s not a song for me but you might like it. And I gotta recomend songs with my boy Lauri. 😁
I'll put it on my very big list 😁
You take a look at the cover of Heros they did with Till Linderman. It is a great cover.
