    I took the asvab a few weeks ago, and got a 96. I used Kaplan's study guide. Mind you i tend to do pretty well on standardized tests. But my advice to anyone taking the asvab is not to treat it as a joke! Even if you think you'll be fine, study, study, study! Take plenty of practice tests and don't forget to time them.

      So that's the key to pass the ASVAB is to study huh? I don't know what your doing but with me but my situation is much different I've been studying and studying for months and I still failed. I don't understand because I just got out of high school and I have no problem with studying and passing my exams at school. I have a 3.5 GPA. And I have the Kaplan ASVAB book just like you. And I took my time on every fricken page even the stuff I know in my sleep and guess what I ended up with a 28!!
      The only thing I haven't tried was practicing timing myself. And I guess that's the problem. But honestly timing myself is so stressful I mean I see the clock counting down everytime I finished or begin a problem. How many days and hours did you studying for the ASVAB is it good to study every single day? And 7 hours straight I need advice😭😭😭😭😱📖😫📚

      @@nikkeiharris850 I plan to take the asvab myself soon and honestly I wish I would've joined out of high school but I put the military on the back burner. Big mistake for me personally. However, few years later I've realized the key: is time! Instead of studying 7 hours straight without giving your mind and eyes some rest, study in 25 min. sessions 4x with a mandatory 5 min break right after each 25 min sessions. Our brain can only store and hold so much facts and details. Good luck!

    It's weird because when I study I always do bad on a test. Not just because of expectations, but also because my knowledge goes down the drain LOL.

    • @KristinLegs
      @KristinLegs  7 лет назад +6

      So the questions were the same type on the practice as they were on the test. The test is just way longer so if you're not mentally prepared to be in there for 4 hours then it can make it seem harder. People usually score better on the real test than the practice too.
