  • Friends since the age of 11, the Italian founders of Matec now run an international business designing and manufacturing complete washing, wastewater purification, and filtration plants for the aggregates, construction, recycling, and demolition sectors.
As the friendship has grown stronger over the years, so has the company’s range of products, and it is now a leader in the sector helping its customers to minimise waste. Its machines can recycle up to 97% of the water used on site, and state-of-the-art filtration systems are used to keep the air clean and breathable.
A good example of this approach is Matec’s new Twin Freccia Rossa, the world’s biggest filter press. The 50m-long machine is a 380-plate, 600tonne/hour filter press that combines the efficiency of two machines into a single product with exceptional performance, offering faster sludge feeding and cake discharge time.
Featuring a single conveyor belt, feeding point, silo decanter, supporting structure, homogeniser tank, high-pressure 10-16-21-30-bar technology, a protective shell for the oleodynamic unit and piston, and four-point cloth washing, the cutting-edge filter press can be equipped with 25mm to 50mm standard or membrane plates.
According to Matec founder and CEO, Matteo Goich, “we are helping to transform waste into a new resource, and to contribute to the circular economy. We are sustainable. We want to use what nature has given us in the right way.”
