Really glad we are back to broad head testing

We aren’t lol testing Broadheads sucks due to all the fanboy babies that come out the wood works when their Broadhead doesn’t fit what we like
      It’s so damn annoying

Great review! It's gonna be a killer head this fall!

Based on that test we believe it! Really dig the design on that one!

I’m leaning towards these being my shooters this year. I think the bleeders definitely open up a wider wound channel which in theory should give better penetration against an animal as the blades have less resistance. I don’t think the bleeders necessarily take the point of the bone evasion as they should be on top of the head and shouldn’t impact any bone, but who knows! Great video man, really enjoy these videos

These were the best performers hands down on the day testing heads that’s for sure!
These are a very solid option!

Sevr will always be one of my top expandables, I would like to see what y’all’s opinion of the beast broadhead is. Glad to see the broadhead videos rolling back around. Keep up the good work.

I used a Sevr 150 grain, really liked it, killed 2 bucks with them, but couldn’t get them back shut for the life of me! Took one apart and you’d have to be a watch repairman to put back together! But they performed great!

Just have to use the little tool they come with to get them to close back up it’s easy once you see how

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA yah I tried it, maybe it was because it passed through a big ole buck and bent the blades up? But if you want to replace them those tiny washers in there are impossible for me anyhow, I really love Rage 150 grains and am going to try Swhacker 150 this year (usually only use 1 a year)

@inthewoods3237 ahhhhh very well could be, if they don’t line up it’d be a bitch for sure
This is why I stick with fixed heads the Kayuga pilot cut gen 2 is my jam 🤌🏽🤌🏽

@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA no tool needed. Just grab/pinch a blade with each hand and twist right hand away and left towards you to disengage the lock. If that makes sense lol, a lot easier to show vs describe via text.

Have you tried putting like 1/2” of foam(or something to mimic the meat on the shoulder), and deer hide in front of the bone? I’m just wondering if the blades are already open from the hide and meat on a shoulder if it would slow the penetration at all? I know it’s not much, but I feel like the blades should start to deploy before they hit the bone on a live deer. Maybe I’m overthinking it?

    • @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
      @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA  5 месяцев назад +2

Well foam doesn’t mimic meat, foam and any mechanical broadheads don’t mix well
Trust me the blades are hitting the shoulder blade and the gel is insanely dense it would slow penetration way more than game tissue so what you see in this test you will only see improved performance in regards to penetration in a whitetail

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I know it doesn’t, I was just getting at something to get the blades to start opening like they would on a deer. I don’t doubt they are gonna be good. It’s what I plan on shooting this year, just thinking that results might be a little different with flesh and hide in front of the bone. I don’t expect much difference, but just feel like there would be some difference. Again, probably just me over analyzing it.

    • @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA

@mikezelenak-hunter9227 the point of the shoulder blade is to have a durability test that is realistic we used to shoot the car hood but everything threw a fit when realistically the shoulder blade is tougher than the car hood ahahah
Adding flesh which I can’t add wouldn’t change the results like you’re thinking

That speed and weight = 83KE...Pretty good, but if you're shooting distances under 60 yds, I'd go with a slightly lighter arrow, maybe 505-510 gr., but that's me...If it works for you, and you have 0 issues, don't change a thing...
