Wow you must have worked on this run a ton, a SKELE-TON. Love to see the Radagon tibia parry, still can hardly believe it. It was a blast to watch both the streams and the video, great work Press.
I remember attempting something like this for fun. Upon reflecting I was supposed to be having fun, I decided to shelve the spell and use the rancors instead. I didn't stop using it in other peoples worlds though. Thank you for achieving my dream of a calcium-rich Lands Between.
4:47 that's not a downside of the open world IMO. You can get all the basics and start your build without killing any bosses (at least not main ones) within the first 1-2 hours. Or you could choose not to and just go with the flow (for casual runs at least). That's an upside really.
Was a real missed opportunity to make Death Sorceries just summon skelingtons. Like; we have the spirit ashes and all. . . but the ones tied to those who whatever in death could've been a cool school of sorcery. . . oh; and maybe make the requirements not 80/80 for damage comparable to pebbles.
I almost wonder if the damage scaling on high end spells is broken. Something like the damage is doesn't scale until your stats are above the minimum requirements. That would be fine for spells that need like 15/20 int/fath but when you need around 40/40, the soft cap kicks in and your scaling gets stopped. I really don't know and it makes late game gimmick builds not work nearly as well.
@@un7n0wing85 scaling is all over the place in this game. Lava and death sorceries are all int/fth; but they require tons of investment for their staves. Then their weapons are either full int or full fth. . . so weirdly distributed. its funny; if you go 80/80 for death/lava, the only weapon that scales with int/fth is the sword of night and flame. not exactly on brand for the whole death/lava stuff lol Really does make me wish they'd just patch the scaling for those spells and staves to be a lot better at 123-150 levels; but it seems like with quality, they may have expected people to be running PvP at much higher rune levels.
I'm sure most people noticed this, but the spell shoots a tiny, fast, invisible dagger that wherever that dagger is destroyed at the skeletons appear. The dagger is destroyed when it hits an object, enemy, or at a certain range (like most other projectile spells). Thats why it gets caught on terrain and summons them in the air.
ironic that the spell requires intelligence and faith, as nobody with any intelligence would use this shitty spell and using it anyway would cause you to lose all faith in life
The funny part is when Necromancer Garris uses this spell on you, it DECIMATES you AND the hitbox is GIGANTIC. I've been in a case where a) I was outside of the attack range of the skeletons b) Even if it DID hit me, it should've just been one skeleton's damage c) I ended up getting hit by ALL the attacks, despite being NO WHERE near the other two.
Elden Stars lover here I feel the pain of these other bad spells.. Like From you can't give something a massive requirement and then make it awful! Dreadful really
If you have Raw Meat Dumpling equipped, your Mimic Tear will also have it and be able to use it. It's very effective since the spirit summons are immune to status effects.
I feel like this is one of those spells where they had a really interesting concept but then realised they couldn’t really implement it in that way. Similar to the lil sentry fireball in ds3 that ended up being really awful despite the version that the enemy uses being so good.
55:15 Oh, that hurts. You actually did have enough to use Rosus's Summons. You see, weapon skills can be used as long as you have at least half the FP for them, so you only needed 8 FP to use it. So it sucks even more than if you couldn't, because you actually could and didn't know it.
I was so sad the summons are so bad. Necromancer is usually my favourite type of spellcaster, but in Elden Ring it gets boring really quickly. You can only really spam Ancient Death Rancor, because all other death-related abilities are terrible.
When I saw this spell I thought I'd get to like...summon skeletons. You know, like an ash of war that isn't restricted to bosses and setpiece fights. I have never been more disappointed.
You're making this Run much Harder for yourself and for Fans and Viewers bro.... Lol seriously. 🤣💀 The Category is the same dammit , just use Tibia Summons with 1 of the Rancor Spells specialy the early one since it doesn't stagger and doesn't deal much damage. ( So the Build is exactly the same.... Only catch is you dont use Rosus Axe , Rosus Axe ruins the Category Run honestly ). The build should be like this : 1- Equip all the Royale Knight Skeleton Set. 2- Only have Prince of Death Staff. 3- Only have 2 Spells , Tibia Summons and Death Rancor.... Not Ancient Death as its abit too Easy for the sake of the run lol. 4- Only use Skeletal Militiaman Ashes. 5- And finally Stack Damage Increase Talismans against you.... Lol yes you 🤣 ( So Magic Scorpion Talisman , Marika's Soreseal , Daedicar's Woe and Shabriri's Woe ). This'll make sure you die in 1 Hit against any Boss. Lol this is a Cosplay Necromancer Run , in its all Glory. ( Remember , no Rosus Axe... Its the Ashe of War makes it easy since you technically Hit with the Axe initially then the Skeletons Hit after... That doesn't count ). Try this.... this is Challenging lol. 🤣 Atleast there's no need to the Woe Talismans , but make sure you atleast equip Marika Scarseal or Soreseal with Magic Scorpion while wearing Prince of Death Staff , Royal Knight Set and Rancor of Death Spell with Tibia Summons only... Thats a True Necromancer Run in all its glory in ER , with some Militiaman Ashes too for that Spooky Skeleton experience. 😅 Before anybody says anything.... Yes Death Rancor is a literal Skeleton Head aimed at your enemy.... While Rosus Axe you deal both Physical and minor Magic slash damage followed by the Skeletons. I personally think that doesn't count. ( Tibia Summons with Rancor of Death gives it much more appeal , altho frustrating... Your point is to Kill with Tibia Summons , while Rancor of Death is just for draining and damaging Bosses untill they are low enough to finish them with Tibia Summons slash ). That is what i call the Shitty Prince of Death Necromancer Run... And it should make sense not Rosus Axe lol. 💀😂
Spells really need more balancing. I don't even mean that they're OP or anything, I just mean that spells need to be more balanced compared to *other spells*
I sometimes wonder why it feels like From sometimes just makes stuff like tibia summons that just don't seem to work. I get there are a LOT of spells in this game, but it definately feels like some schools just get WAY more favor.
I think Tibia's Summons should be this instead. Summons 3 skeletons like it normally does but is able to move and will disappear after either they take 1% of damage, Hit an enemy or 8 sec has passed and no more than 1 full set of skeletons can be out at a time.
If this makes rolling and dodging easier, there's 13 frames when you start a roll where there are no I-frames, this is ~1/6 of a second, or 170 milliseconds.
I don't get the quantity over quality approach that FromSoftware tried so hard in Elden Ring. Why have so many weak/bad spells/summons/weapons/items? At least with the 978658 repeated bosses, they were reusing assets, but thoses shit stuffs, they wasted development time in crap no-one will use outside challenge runs. Fucking waste
And it's easily fixable. Just given the tibia summons tracking and increase the damage. It still wouldn't be worth using over most other attacks, but at least it would turn it into a usable spell
putrid corpses would have been a big help. they were my primary tank summon in my own first death magic themed build, & worked wonders occupying enemies while i cast slow, underpowered spells - albeit better ones than tibia's summons, yeesh that spell sucks
Honestly, at least Elden Stars can do 1,000 dmg. Sometimes. Tibias Summons do like 700 (ok sometimes close to 900?) maximum if they hit it seems. Definitely new worst spell in the game for me.
That's part of DS1's level design. There are multiple roads you can take from firelink shrine but the road to undead burg is the path of least resistance and the "intended" road for a first playthrough. The other directions are full of enemies that are hard to deal with for a first time player at starting level with starting gear. Skeletons that bleed you out, catacombs full of necromancers that resurrect them. New londo is filled with ghosts you cant even hit without a special item and they can ambush you through walls. The remaining direction is locked unless you have the master key. All of that pushes you towards undead burg which is a low level area with weak enemies. They also did add rewards though for those who persevere through the much higher resistance in the other directions
@@PressContinue no wonder its so hard to go trugh this hellhole i play the game for the first time heard how hard it was and thouhgt this is suposed to be so ... HARD. feel kinda dumb.
@@pjd418 But that doesn't apply to the tibia summons, which is not affected by your strength stat at all and also not affected by things that boost physical damage like the blue dancer charm. It doesn't do any physical damage

Speaking of "fingers to the bone", I'm surprised that you didn't use that fist weapon from the Royal Remains set. It's literally part of a skeleton, so I'd have thought you'd keep it as a fall back option
are you sure it's holy damage? It's a bit of a misconception but only certain holy items in game can actually permakill skeletons automatically, not all of them. The inseparable sword can kill skeletons but not the crucible knight sword, despite both dealing holy
We should all start trying to kill bosses with this spell in hopes that they buff it, how nice would it be if this run you did caused them to buff the spell🙃

Ironically, the spell got buffed like a week after I did this playthrough Same thing happened with the Scarlet Aeonia run. I finished it and then it suddenly got buffed in the next patch. My rotten luck I guess
most the time I think the spells you use aren't so bad. Only using them is horrible, but you can usually make use of them with the right build more often than not. but. The tiba summons are just really bad. Really cool. But really bad. Too slow to hit anything, not enough damage to justify it. The skeleton spirt ashes are great though.
I remember the days you had a limited number of continues.... then you needed to start over... off topic but the channel name reminded me of those days.
That indeed is what my name refers to. Of course in a broader context it simply means "keep going" which is the general mindset a challenge runner needs to have
Big congrats on finishing this run and ALL THE PUNS to go with it! From other videos, I have wondered, which was harder, writing all the puns, or completing the run... But for this one? I don't have to ask. (sad emoji) I like the little text edits over the footage when something noteworthy happens! I wouldn't have noticed the Mimic Tear doing staff bonks unless it had been pointed out too, so I appreciate the notes! PS - I don't know about everyone else, but personally, I wouldn't mind if some Dutch words appeared in these videos, it would really underscore how utterly "boned" you were feeling. And subtitles for translation, if you felt like it.
If it gets buffed will you do it again? For once my sadistic side was replaced with empathy during that godskin duo fight.. I actually wanted you to win lol
The Royal Remains set has got to have the most useless passive effect in the game. It heals you, but only to a maximum of 18% of your max hp. Unless you go back to an early game area massively overleveled, there are almost no attacks in the game that are going to deal less damage than that, so you essentially stay in one-hit range.
How about a "going Dutch" (each person participating in a paid activity covers their own expenses) run? Meaning, you are only allowed to damage the enemy if you get damage as well.

Dance of Death from Iron Maiden fits just right for this. Nice video dude, much love
Agreed
Then their weapons are either full int or full fth. . . so weirdly distributed.
its funny; if you go 80/80 for death/lava, the only weapon that scales with int/fth is the sword of night and flame. not exactly on brand for the whole death/lava stuff lol
Really does make me wish they'd just patch the scaling for those spells and staves to be a lot better at 123-150 levels; but it seems like with quality, they may have expected people to be running PvP at much higher rune levels.
19:36 So you can miss with six attacks instead of just three.
Sitting through the streams for this, it's easy to say you had a bone to pick with this run.
I love your videos! Always appreciated in terms of the content and humour. Keep up the brilliant work…oh and the music intros are first class 😂❤
Would you by chance know the artist of the intro music? I'd like to hear the original as it sounded cool. Cheers
ironic that the spell requires intelligence and faith, as nobody with any intelligence would use this shitty spell and using it anyway would cause you to lose all faith in life
Ain't that the truth
55:07 And this is why you should usually collect all available Starlight Shards during these types of runs.
This definitely had to be the MOST hardest run in your career bro, much love
At least one of the most annoying ones. I was really really really done with it at the end of the 4th stream.
@@PressContinue lol
@@PressContinue Hardest had to be Pupa...BTW Hey PC... they buffed Aeonia yesterday. I'm ready to watch Malenia rot if you've got the pupa motivation
The Godskin Spin animation cancel has killed me so many times that I could almost believe that it's intentional.
The intro with Iron Maiden's Dance of Death was perfect!
Really loved this idea! Keep up the amazing content!
The funny part is when Necromancer Garris uses this spell on you, it DECIMATES you AND the hitbox is GIGANTIC.
I've been in a case where
a) I was outside of the attack range of the skeletons
b) Even if it DID hit me, it should've just been one skeleton's damage
c) I ended up getting hit by ALL the attacks, despite being NO WHERE near the other two.
Seems to be a trend that bad attacks are good but only if they are used against you
It got the Elden Stars treatment too, huh?
Elden Stars lover here I feel the pain of these other bad spells.. Like From you can't give something a massive requirement and then make it awful! Dreadful really
That sped-up Dance of Death intro was wonderful :)
Love the Dance of death in that little montage, total banger took me by surprise 😄😁
That PNG intro with the characters is ghe funniest shit I've seen in a long time.
If you have Raw Meat Dumpling equipped, your Mimic Tear will also have it and be able to use it. It's very effective since the spirit summons are immune to status effects.
During the Godskin duo fight I did have those equipped. Although I never actually noticed the mimic using them to be honest
I feel like this is one of those spells where they had a really interesting concept but then realised they couldn’t really implement it in that way. Similar to the lil sentry fireball in ds3 that ended up being really awful despite the version that the enemy uses being so good.
53:09 "Under your skin"? What skin? You're a skeleton! Immersion ruined.
Sowwy :(
55:15 Oh, that hurts. You actually did have enough to use Rosus's Summons.
You see, weapon skills can be used as long as you have at least half the FP for them, so you only needed 8 FP to use it. So it sucks even more than if you couldn't, because you actually could and didn't know it.
... well that sucks
@@PressContinue Hey, let's look on the bright side, maybe that info's gonna be useful to you in the future
It’s like they put spells like this in the game specifically for runs like this. When else would you ever use this slow slow spell?
I was so sad the summons are so bad. Necromancer is usually my favourite type of spellcaster, but in Elden Ring it gets boring really quickly. You can only really spam Ancient Death Rancor, because all other death-related abilities are terrible.
Well technically death-lightning is really powerful
I really hope they expand on death sorcery in DLC. I fucking love necromancy in any fantasy setting.
These streams were so much fun to watch
oblivion moment
I now want a "Skellington" with a jar on its head so badly!
When I saw this spell I thought I'd get to like...summon skeletons. You know, like an ash of war that isn't restricted to bosses and setpiece fights. I have never been more disappointed.
When I started a death spell playthrough, the disappointment I felt from how bad Tibia Summons is is indescribable
if the rosus summons all had frost on their weapons it would be good as that would net high frost build up
really impressive run. really fun to watch! and the girls jamming out is always amazing :D
love your vids. do your thing my man.
Surprised you didn't wait until October for this lol
Well it's early Halloween. Also Halloween is an American thing to begin with.
"shitalicious" "crapalicious" does this make anyone else think of an 18+ YU-GI-OH GX
You're making this Run much Harder for yourself and for Fans and Viewers bro.... Lol seriously. 🤣💀
The Category is the same dammit , just use Tibia Summons with 1 of the Rancor Spells specialy the early one since it doesn't stagger and doesn't deal much damage. ( So the Build is exactly the same.... Only catch is you dont use Rosus Axe , Rosus Axe ruins the Category Run honestly ).
The build should be like this :
1- Equip all the Royale Knight Skeleton Set.
Before anybody says anything.... 💀😂
I don't know how you can keep subjecting yourself to these awful themed runs, but I'm glad to see you keep doing it.
And it's only going to get worse...
I think the tibia summon is more a pvp thing, looks like a good play for people sitting back
Damn bro you got the whole graveyard laughing
I think Tibia's Summons should be this instead. Summons 3 skeletons like it normally does but is able to move and will disappear after either they take 1% of damage, Hit an enemy or 8 sec has passed and no more than 1 full set of skeletons can be out at a time.
What about Melania…..sighs…. “I beat her off screen….” 😂
If this makes rolling and dodging easier, there's 13 frames when you start a roll where there are no I-frames, this is ~1/6 of a second, or 170 milliseconds.
Dont! Give up, skeleton
tibia summons should've been the massive laser shooting skeletons you find in mohgywn palace
Yes! Yes it should have been!
The dance of death edit tho XDDDD
Huge Kudos for the Elden Ring Metal Band at 3:40
LMFAO
Song name?
WAIT WHAT DOES HE MEAN THE SKELETONS IN THE GRAVEJARD ARE THERE TO STIR YOU IN THE OPOSITE DIRECTION
HARD. feel kinda dumb.
i think the big issue about tibia summons and its not noted in the wiki and such is that it aslo scales with str/physical i believe
It shouldn't. It's magic damage
@@PressContinue its like the meteor spell that aslo does physical damage
@@pjd418 But that doesn't apply to the tibia summons, which is not affected by your strength stat at all and also not affected by things that boost physical damage like the blue dancer charm. It doesn't do any physical damage
@@PressContinue ah ok i must have been mistaken

the official *SPOOKY* run, cry your heart out limit breakers
The blessed dew talisman and that holy greatshield could've been excellent additions to this run as they heal you over time, which tends to be very useful in long fights like these
Perhaps, but the blessed dew only heals 2 hp per tick, so that's not a lot. And the greatshield would have been too heavy
They’re great for almost every player but runs like these are probably so strict they don’t want to use them.
1:04:28 Those words summarize the entire run
Speaking of "fingers to the bone", I'm surprised that you didn't use that fist weapon from the Royal Remains set. It's literally part of a skeleton, so I'd have thought you'd keep it as a fall back option
yes, PART of a skeleton. That's why it wasn't allowed. Only full complete skeletons
about min 23 so this is how "let me solo her" ended, well i guess this is how seluvius knew what was needed to enslave a god.
are you sure it's holy damage? It's a bit of a misconception but only certain holy items in game can actually permakill skeletons automatically, not all of them. The inseparable sword can kill skeletons but not the crucible knight sword, despite both dealing holy
epic finnish on the dragon knight
We should all start trying to kill bosses with this spell in hopes that they buff it, how nice would it be if this run you did caused them to buff the spell🙃
Shirou would be so confused....
"people don't die when they are killed?!? "
Oof.
This IS the worst spell ive ever seen.
It’s like fighting Godzilla with a broken plastic butter knife that needs two hands to wield because it weighs 10 Kilos for some reason…
Ironically, the spell got buffed like a week after I did this playthrough
Same thing happened with the Scarlet Aeonia run. I finished it and then it suddenly got buffed in the next patch. My rotten luck I guess
Bro half of the difficulty of this run came from the refusal to level Mind and Vigor
most the time I think the spells you use aren't so bad.
(sad emoji)
I like the little text edits over the footage when something noteworthy happens!
Considering the recent buff they recieved, would you one day consider a video like this but with the briar sorceries?
If it gets buffed will you do it again?
For once my sadistic side was replaced with empathy during that godskin duo fight.. I actually wanted you to win lol
It has been buffed like a week or so after this video came out. But no I'm not doing it again
Holy just got buffed, maybe a 100% holy damage run?
The Royal Remains set has got to have the most useless passive effect in the game. It heals you, but only to a maximum of 18% of your max hp. Unless you go back to an early game area massively overleveled, there are almost no attacks in the game that are going to deal less damage than that, so you essentially stay in one-hit range.
How about a "going Dutch" (each person participating in a paid activity covers their own expenses) run? Meaning, you are only allowed to damage the enemy if you get damage as well.
2cents on a minor thing, I dont think people would mind if you threw in a bit of dutch here and there. : )
Actually I've already done that a few times.
Of all the Elden Souls Bo(r)ne Players out there, you're the most entertaining to watch. Period! Plus, your taste in music is second to none. Up the Irons! ;) \m/
been watching your videos for like 4 months just never thought about subbing until now. you make great videos man keep going king❤️💯
56:48 - Did your mimic just try to attack you?..
I feel like the prince of death staff would fit the build better and for a melee weapon you could use clinging bone
I did use the prince of death staff and clinging bone is not a complete skeleton.
@@PressContinue oh ok that makes sense
I didnt expect you to comment on my comment though good job on the challange!
