When I was growing up in elementary school, I told my mother to always buy me Arnold Brick Oven bread. It was the only kind of bread I would eat for peanut butter sandwiches.
I grew up on this stuff...it's not healthy in the sense that there are healthier food choice options now, but that doesn't mean it's unhealthy. During the 1940s,, the government set up a program that forced companies to return vitamins and minerals to flour, thus “enriching” it and combating diseases like pellagra and beriberi in the process. Wonderbread was one of the first sliced breads on the market. There's nothing scientific showing that it's unhealthy, you could eat it combined with other products to make your sandwich healthier....but again, it's not Super Healthy, but that doesn't mean it's unhealthy.
@@OsbornTramain Wonder Bread. Stsrring tiny tots who are probably in their mid fifties by now. Wonder if they still eat the stuff. And, yes, no pun intended.
I love this commercial. I used it for my high school assignment. It brings me back good memories. :)
My high school years 1964-68 brought me here.
I loved Wonder Bread. That was what I ate as a kid. Then the show premiered and the word "wonder" has been associated with Fred Savage ever since.
I remember this commercial and was looking for it, thanks for posting!
I was 4 when this commercial came out. I ate wonder bread as a kid and I sometimes still eat it.

Back when commercials didn't yell at you.
