Some of it was actually super validating to me (especially their conversation about being afraid of sex/men and not always enjoying sex, but feeling obligated to). It's always been so frustrating to me as a gay man because I don't have that shame of expressing emotion, but none of my straight male friends would even know how to take the first 5 minutes of this confessional healing. It's so interesting to hear women talk about success. They both are uncomfortable with being called ambitious and the idea of success through straight hustle. I'm guessing that it's because that ignores the talent factor? But listening to successful men really annoys me because they think that the only thing that brought them success was just outworking the other guy. While I fully believe that 90% of life is showing up when the next guy stops showing up, I do think there is often more to mega success than just working hard.

The 2 most empowered woman comedian i loved to listent to and look at talk to each other about their insecurity really put back everything into a different perspective. really great show. You rock girl even when you dont.
It's so interesting to hear women talk about success. They both are uncomfortable with being called ambitious and the idea of success through straight hustle. I'm guessing that it's because that ignores the talent factor? But listening to successful men really annoys me because they think that the only thing that brought them success was just outworking the other guy. While I fully believe that 90% of life is showing up when the next guy stops showing up, I do think there is often more to mega success than just working hard.
Totally relate to what Whitney was saying around 46:00 about how she can feel around other women, needing to over compliment and concerned about putting them out if I need something. I have to really figure out how to navigate that. Love to y’allz 💛.
