Cab Calloway's music was used in the Betty Boop cartoons. He is beyond GREAT, was on Sesame Street and the original Hep Cat !
The very beginning vocals are from his act Saint James Infirmary Blues - fanTAStic!!! 46:51 There's an entire Betty Boop cartoon on this composition. If not mistaken, it was given to their best animator as his solo and last project.
Thank you for the upload. Used to watch Cab's performances incessantly!!

I have been a Cab Callaway fan forever - since hearing him on my Dad's big band n jazz records in the 1960's!! It's been years since I saw this.movie watching late night movies with my Mom in the 1970's!!! What a treat for a rainy cold spring Ohio night, for a 66 year old jazz singer from the 1970's in Detroit at Watts Club Mozambique n the Greystone n Blackstone Ballrooms n the Delta Lady, etc. I was the only white girl jazz singer then, n STILL LOVE to sing it now!!!
Great movie!
