Pilot turned to 300 instead of 340 and the controller failed to correct him. Forced the next controller to fix it with the extra downwind. Luckily the plane wasn't engulfed in flames or else seconds may matter.
Usually it smells like ozone or plastic burning, both of which have very distinct, putrid smells. I've experienced the ozone smell during a flight many years ago, it really gets the blood flowing.

Why do they ask fuel in minutes from an aircraft that just departed? The answer is "plenty". Asking for fuel weight is useful for ARFF.

What does electricity smell of? Isn't it just a burn/smoke smell?
I believe that's what he meant.
While it is a burning/smoke odor, electrical arcing or burning has a very unique odor.. I've always described it as an ozone type of smell.
