- Another vintage fairy tale bedtime story for adults as requested! This soft voice storytelling has been created for sleep and relaxation. Fall asleep as you listen to the classic vintage story of Hansel & Gretel by The Brothers Grimm. This story resides in the public domain. Adult bedtime stories have become popular among grown ups and are often used as a natural sleep aid for long sleepless nights or for anyone who has insomnia or any type of sleeping difficulties. I sincerely hope you enjoy this sleep story. This is story is also one of my childhood favorites! Hope you enjoy :)

Really appreciate this posting, Joanne. Everytime I listen to this, I drift asleep right around the time the children realize the bread crumb trail has all been eaten by the birds. Wake up later and the story is over and my phone/tablet is dark. Stay healthy, friend.

It must sound so awful to your German ears!! My sincerest apologies :)
I don't think it's in Joanne control of how the story is made. She did her best to read it to us. Blame it on the author for the loopy pronunciation lol 😄
This was not meant in a bad way. Its simply the difference between the languages :) and I was just used to the german pronunciation due to the story being German

No worries, Lynn. Joanne used what is likely the most common pronunciation of 'Hansel And Gretel' in the US. When my Mom read me this story when i was growing up, she used the exact same pronunciation.
