Gothic I soundtrack is also my favorite from the series. Very unique and atmospheric. And of course you play the first game WITHOUT any silly HD mods. You don't want to drive an oldtimer vehicle and make it look like a modern tesla car, come on folks. Enjoy the original!

In this streaming video Gothic playing made me laugh, especially jumping up to hills and using MARVIN to unstuck from textures, I've never been stuck in such places, so Gothic would never stop surprising =) Was very glad to see both of you guys, Kai and Mike. If I could suggest something about future Gothics - I missed a DARK atmosphere of gothic 1 and 2 in gothic 3. Nothing like seeing a seekers for the first time ;) You could feel evil forces trying to stop you. Also focusing on storyline in making game > focusing on biiiig world. And last thing - game splitted into chapters was a good thing. As for the music, it was excellent in all of them, thanks to you I guess. So in brief, what we need in new Gothic is: dark atmosphere, some evil creatures, good compact storyline and maybe more cutscenes
I agree. And linear story was much better than nonlinear one of 3rd game. And i kinda don't want to remember 4th game. Anyway, 4th game wasn't made by Piranha.
Yeah. And more cutscenes would be nice too, for egzample when Y'Berion had vision of Sleeper in G1 etc. Things like that creating atmosphere I also wish orcs didn't become "smart" as in gothic 3 but it's my preference :P As for other gothics, I didn't even play any Gothic after Gothic 3, but played Risens instead
Laserowy Kuba First Risen was a bomb! By the way, orcs were always clever. They just don't speak human language, except for that shaman in first two games.

Мелодия из Ардэи погружает меня в детсво, когда я слышу эту мелодию, вспоминаю как хорошо мне жилось, когда не нужно было работать, а можно было проснуться утром, и пойти играть в игры. Have to admit, Valley Of Mines is my favorite composition of yours, and Gothic's best soundtrack overall. For many reasons. It's basically the first music you hear in game, and it completely sucks you in. The dark and mysterious tone really sets the atmosphere of the game instantly, you feel immersed into it from the go, very powerful theme. It's a masterpiece.
Gothic 1 And 2 are still better then some games from 2015-2016,the world feels real,atmosphere is Great,music is great,i love that Everything was hand placed,and area progression is limited by monsters(if you are not strong enough you die)First time i played gothic 1,2 were in 2015,And i absolutelly loved it.
@@emilbrandwyne5747 i loved the way g2 limited the world. if you had the skill you could go way further than you should have. finding the full strength orc in the woods was terrifying when you stumble into him looking for plants at the start of the game i spent ages fighting him before realizing he was not there to be beat but to block, after a few play throughs i could beat him with a stick though. did you ever manage to take the low road to the valley of mines? took me hundereds of tries.

@@emilbrandwyne5747 yep the thats the one, its the main entrance to the vally theres a path that lets you sneak by above them, thats the way your supposed to go but you can fight through the enormous horde of elite and mage orcs if you really want a challenge. i also cleared the entire siege area outside the castle before going inside thats pretty fun. did you ever get over the siege fence? theres a message from the developers there
Hoff dir geht's gut. Happy20years. Auch wenn dir Gothic langsam vorkommt, wie der uralte Ledermantel deines Opas, der immer nervt und eigentlich kein Sinn mehr hat in deinem Alltag. Der Scheiss Mantel hat soviel Herzen erreicht.. mich hat Gothic durch eine schreckliche Kindheit gebracht, war meine Safezone. Ich kann nie weinen, ich kann kaum fühlen, wenn ich aber deine Musik höre, brech ich in Tränen aus. Ich wünschte i h könnte dir irgendwas zurück geben. Danke das ihr soviel von euch gegeben habt, es war nicht umsonst.
I actually love the music in Gothic 1.. it feels more rugged, wild, primitive, like the game's world. If i were to remake the game.. and I would really love to, I would like to keep the music, the sounds, the art style and the color palette as close as possible to the original, and update the gameplay, the models, animations and visual effects, mostly. I love the music in all Gothic games and for me the style fits great with the general atmosphere.

Lieber Kai Rosenkranz, ich höre den wunderbaren Soundtrack von Risen 1 schon seit meiner Kindheit und empfinde ihn als deine absolute Meisterleistung. Jetzt, mit 27 Jahren, hast du mich dazu inspiriert, Gitarre zu lernen und sogar noch einmal Klavier anzufangen. Es mag vielleicht nicht perfekt sein, in diesem Alter gleich zwei Instrumente zu lernen, aber ich habe einfach Bock drauf und werde es versuchen. Gerade die meditative Stimmung des ruhigen Gitarrenspiels in Risen 1 hat mich so sehr in diese Welt hineingezogen. Dein unterschätztestes Stück m.M.n. Ist aber der Soundtrack aus dem Banditenlager in Gothic 2 DNDR. Dieses Stück macht eine Atmosphäre die so dicht ist, dass man sie schneiden kann. Dieses Musikstück wirkt so bedrohlich, dass es dem Spieler fast schon ein Messer an die Kehle legt. Danke für deine inspirierende Musik! Du kannst definitiv mit Musik ebensolche Emotionen in uns erwecken wie ein Hans Zimmer oder ein James Horner. Und ich wünsche Dir und dem Team viel Erfolg mit dem Remake.

Gothic and then Gothic 2 were my very first rpg games and to this day nothing was able to beat it in terms of dark atmosphere, core gameplay and the world that make sense. I love how there is no hand holding, map that had not been complete and not full with markers to show you where to go, instead every npc would give the player directions. Also how you levelled up and learn skills is something that make alot of sense, no game skill trees etc, instead you haf to find a trainer. I would love to see a remake of original Gothic, more detailed world but with core gameplay unchanged and definitely no hand holding.

Der Teaser diente nur dazu, um festzustellen, ob die Fans überhaupt Lust auf ein Remake hätten, was definitiv der Fall ist.

Tatsächlich gibt es einige kleine Easter Eggs die zeigen, dass sich die Entwickler durchaus mit dem Thema beschäftigt haben. Tatsächlich wurde sogar das originale Levelmesh aus G1 genommen, in der Größe skaliert und darauf die neue Welt aus dem Teaser modelliert. Ich kann nur wärmstens den Podcast der Gamestar und den RUclips-Podcast zum Remake von Jorgensen und RPGKurga empfehlen. Ich freue mich schon auf das Remake, wenn sie es gut machen kommt eine würdige Neuinterpretation raus, die v.a. nur veraltete Mechaniken und Grafik gegen moderne tauscht.

Wow, das Video ist eine echte Perle. Wie konnte sich euer Dev Chat und Lets Play nur so viele Jahre vor mir verstecken? Dieses Internet ist einfach zu groß geworden. Irgendwo im Video wurde gesagt, dass weitere Teile geplant waren, in denen du, lieber Kai, Gothic im Stream spielen wolltest. Leider finde ich nichts dazu, weder auf RUclips noch auf Twitch, daher gehe ich davon aus, dass du diesen Plan nicht weiterverfolgt hast. Falls du diesen Kommentar jemals lesen solltest, was ich für sehr unwahrscheinlich aber nicht gänzlich unmöglich halte: Weitere Lets Plays und Dev Chats von dir, zusammen mit weiteren Programmierern, Game Designern etc., die an der Erschaffung der besten Spielereihe aller Zeiten beteiligt gewesen sind? Evtl. noch mit aktuellen Content Creators wie LordPappnase oder Jorgenson oder anderen Vertretern aus der Gamingszene? Die unerschütterliche, aktive Gothic Community würde sicherlich brennen dafür! Vielleicht ergibt sich ja im Dunstkreis des Gothic Remakes die Möglichkeit für dich, hier wieder Content zu kreieren? Ich wäre auf jeden Fall auf der Stelle dabei! Ich hätte wirklich gern ein Statement von Mike was das Kampfsystem von Gothic 3 angeht und was er von den letzen drei, grottenschlechten PB Spielen hält. Risen 1 war noch gut, auch das Kampfsystem hat noch funktioniert, weil es eben noch war wie in Gothic 1&2. Doch danach ging es ganz schnell Berg ab mit PB. Mit Elex der absolute Tiefpunkt dieser Firma!!

Area progression is limited by your creativity :D Remember the old camp in G2. You had to sprint past all those orcs. xD
@@emilbrandwyne5747 i loved the way g2 limited the world. if you had the skill you could go way further than you should have. finding the full strength orc in the woods was terrifying when you stumble into him looking for plants at the start of the game i spent ages fighting him before realizing he was not there to be beat but to block, after a few play throughs i could beat him with a stick though. did you ever manage to take the low road to the valley of mines? took me hundereds of tries.
@@dioxinvapor1495 you mean the one guarded by gazillions of orcs? I had one playthrough where I did kill them all. Cant remember if I was a mage or not
@@emilbrandwyne5747 yep the thats the one, its the main entrance to the vally theres a path that lets you sneak by above them, thats the way your supposed to go but you can fight through the enormous horde of elite and mage orcs if you really want a challenge. i also cleared the entire siege area outside the castle before going inside thats pretty fun.
did you ever get over the siege fence? theres a message from the developers there

Hoff dir geht's gut. Happy20years. Auch wenn dir Gothic langsam vorkommt, wie der uralte Ledermantel deines Opas, der immer nervt und eigentlich kein Sinn mehr hat in deinem Alltag. Der Scheiss Mantel hat soviel Herzen erreicht.. mich hat Gothic durch eine schreckliche Kindheit gebracht, war meine Safezone. Ich kann nie weinen, ich kann kaum fühlen, wenn ich aber deine Musik höre, brech ich in Tränen aus. Ich wünschte i h könnte dir irgendwas zurück geben. Danke das ihr soviel von euch gegeben habt, es war nicht umsonst.

I actually love the music in Gothic 1.. it feels more rugged, wild, primitive, like the game's world. If i were to remake the game.. and I would really love to, I would like to keep the music, the sounds, the art style and the color palette as close as possible to the original, and update the gameplay, the models, animations and visual effects, mostly. I love the music in all Gothic games and for me the style fits great with the general atmosphere.
You magnificent bastards! I cannot thank you guys enough for the Gothic series. I still play it 2-3 times a year because i truly feel at home and it's left its mark on me so much i feel it's a part of me.

ich höre den wunderbaren Soundtrack von Risen 1 schon seit meiner Kindheit und empfinde ihn als deine absolute Meisterleistung. Jetzt, mit 27 Jahren, hast du mich dazu inspiriert, Gitarre zu lernen und sogar noch einmal Klavier anzufangen. Es mag vielleicht nicht perfekt sein, in diesem Alter gleich zwei Instrumente zu lernen, aber ich habe einfach Bock drauf und werde es versuchen. Gerade die meditative Stimmung des ruhigen Gitarrenspiels in Risen 1 hat mich so sehr in diese Welt hineingezogen.
Dein unterschätztestes Stück m.M.n. Ist aber der Soundtrack aus dem Banditenlager in Gothic 2 DNDR. Dieses Stück macht eine Atmosphäre die so dicht ist, dass man sie schneiden kann. Dieses Musikstück wirkt so bedrohlich, dass es dem Spieler fast schon ein Messer an die Kehle legt.
Danke für deine inspirierende Musik! Du kannst definitiv mit Musik ebensolche Emotionen in uns erwecken wie ein Hans Zimmer oder ein James Horner. Und ich wünsche Dir und dem Team viel Erfolg mit dem Remake.

Gothic and then Gothic 2 were my very first rpg games and to this day nothing was able to beat it in terms of dark atmosphere, core gameplay and the world that make sense.
I love how there is no hand holding, map that had not been complete and not full with markers to show you where to go, instead every npc would give the player directions. Also how you levelled up and learn skills is something that make alot of sense, no game skill trees etc, instead you haf to find a trainer. I would love to see a remake of original Gothic, more detailed world but with core gameplay unchanged and definitely no hand holding.

Ihr seid ein sehr cooles Team. Meins liebligs Teil ist und bleibt Gothic 1 und ich hoffe der Remake ist etwas, was Mike sich als fertiges Gothic vorstellt.

Hallo Kai. Ich hab mal einfach das aktuellste Video von dir angeklickt, einfach nur um zu sagen, dass ich dich liebe!
Mit deiner Musik gelingt es dir - trotz so vieler Jahre - immernoch, meine Emotionen und Phantasie derart zu beflügeln, dass ich deine Soundtracks noch heute beispielsweise bei Arbeiten im Garten, oder abends am Lagerfeuer höre. Und immer wenn ich dies tue, versetzt es mich in eine andere Welt und meine Gefühle gehen mit mir durch. Danke dafür! Das hat auf diese Weise kein anderer atmosphärischer Soundtrack je vermocht. Die Nacht des Raben und Risen 1 Soundtracks sind übrigens besonderes phantastisch!

@@apfelkuchen4399 Der Teaser gibt aber einen Einblick in das Verständnis der Entwickler über das was Gothic eigentlich ist. Und davon scheinen die nicht viel zu verstehen... wir werden sehen.
@@guynamedstevo6581 In einem Gamestar Interview haben die Entwickler zu verstehen gegeben, dass sie sich das viele Feedback der Community zu Herzen nehmen und daraufhin angekündigt, das Spiel zu 90 % anders zu machen als im Teaser dargestellt. Der Teaser diente nur dazu, um festzustellen, ob die Fans überhaupt Lust auf ein Remake hätten, was definitiv der Fall ist.
@@guynamedstevo6581 Laut Interviews haben Sie den Teaser absichtlich ins Extreme designt um auszuloten auf was die Spieler Bock hätten. Tatsächlich gibt es einige kleine Easter Eggs die zeigen, dass sich die Entwickler durchaus mit dem Thema beschäftigt haben. Tatsächlich wurde sogar das originale Levelmesh aus G1 genommen, in der Größe skaliert und darauf die neue Welt aus dem Teaser modelliert. Ich kann nur wärmstens den Podcast der Gamestar und den RUclips-Podcast zum Remake von Jorgensen und RPGKurga empfehlen. Ich freue mich schon auf das Remake, wenn sie es gut machen kommt eine würdige Neuinterpretation raus, die v.a. nur veraltete Mechaniken und Grafik gegen moderne tauscht.

Wow, das Video ist eine echte Perle. Wie konnte sich euer Dev Chat und Lets Play nur so viele Jahre vor mir verstecken? Dieses Internet ist einfach zu groß geworden.
Irgendwo im Video wurde gesagt, dass weitere Teile geplant waren, in denen du, lieber Kai, Gothic im Stream spielen wolltest. Leider finde ich nichts dazu, weder auf RUclips noch auf Twitch, daher gehe ich davon aus, dass du diesen Plan nicht weiterverfolgt hast.
Falls du diesen Kommentar jemals lesen solltest, was ich für sehr unwahrscheinlich aber nicht gänzlich unmöglich halte:
Weitere Lets Plays und Dev Chats von dir, zusammen mit weiteren Programmierern, Game Designern etc., die an der Erschaffung der besten Spielereihe aller Zeiten beteiligt gewesen sind? Evtl. noch mit aktuellen Content Creators wie LordPappnase oder Jorgenson oder anderen Vertretern aus der Gamingszene? Die unerschütterliche, aktive Gothic Community würde sicherlich brennen dafür!
Vielleicht ergibt sich ja im Dunstkreis des Gothic Remakes die Möglichkeit für dich, hier wieder Content zu kreieren?
Ich wäre auf jeden Fall auf der Stelle dabei!

In my opinion gothic 1 and 2 age very well. Maybe its most about nostalgia but I never feel bored by this game.
Ich hätte wirklich gern ein Statement von Mike was das Kampfsystem von Gothic 3 angeht und was er von den letzen drei, grottenschlechten PB Spielen hält.
Risen 1 war noch gut, auch das Kampfsystem hat noch funktioniert, weil es eben noch war wie in Gothic 1&2. Doch danach ging es ganz schnell Berg ab mit PB. Mit Elex der absolute Tiefpunkt dieser Firma!!
