  • This clip is composed of three separate interruptions to Saturday morning programming on WTVF-TV, following a tornado in Williamson County, Tennessee. The tornado, eventually rated at F4 by the National Weather Service, occurred a little after 6:00 a.m. local time on 24 December 1988.
Meteorologist Ron Howes provides early damage reports; at the time of this broadcast the storm which produced the tornado had already exited the immediate Nashville area. Though it was not confirmed at the time, one person was killed and 7 more injured by this storm.
