Another excellent video,Brad.I’m getting ready to chang the spark plugs,in my brother’s D160,and just needed a refresher/reminder.Also I’m going to be using NGK plugs for the first time, based on your and others recommendations. Thanks for all you do.Bill H
The next time I get a machine in with mice, I will make a video but for now just take the cover off and clean out the nest how ever you can. If you do not clean it out, you could have a overheating issue with the engine that would be very bad.
The champion that is in the engine should have been RC12YC and that will go to several NGK versions but I use a NGKCS6 but not sure if you can get it individually. You can also use a NGK BKR5ES.
I use the tool for more than just removing the spark plug wire. It’s not needed but if you pull the wire off of the spark plug and you see a metal tab connect to the spark plug. Good luck getting it back on the spark plug wire. Just be very careful when pulling the plug wire off and use a little dielectric grease when putting it back together on the end of the spark plug tip that boot plug goes onto.
I have this same mower and I can’t find the oil filter on it to change it. Do you have any idea where it is? I’ve seen on most videos it’s on the opposite side of where you were working on in this video but I don’t see it at all on mine
Johnson's Small Engines oh wow I didn’t know that! I just wanted to make sure just in case because I didn’t know if that was normal or if it was a bad thing that mine didn’t have one. Thanks!
That fender clip tool, huge help, thank you!
I love that tool for many different situations.

Your very welcome, I’m glad it was helpful ;)
Do you mind showing how to clean the cooling fin ? I had a mouse nest in it over the winter

@@JohnsonsSmallEngines I’m not sure how to take the cover off properly & put it back on.
What's the ngk part number you prefer to use?
I use NGK CS6 (they come in a box of 100) the equivalent would be NGK BKR5ES (singles). This replaces Champion RC12YC
Great tip, thanks for posting
Can you give me the part # for the NGK for the D110? Thanks.

Instead of a rubber boot , it has a metal type covering ,
How can I remove that to replace the spark plug . 🤷🏼♂️
Same way

Thanks , got it
How often does a person need to change the spark plug to justify buying clip removal tool?

@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Thanks for the advice. Tom

There is a good chance you may not have one! Briggs and Stratton had certain model engines without a oil filter.
