I would love to use this. I have tried so many different bunch of calender apps. But each one of them had few basic problems which you happened to solve with your app. 1 - no brain dump and 2. Ability to link subtasks to each task.
Have you ever developed an application related to IOT, for example, an application to control the lighting of your home from your smartphone, or to control the turning on and off of the TV? I mean a simple application, but it is related to the Internet of Things, and I know that the person who can develop a simple application can develop a more complex application.
Yo man amazing work as allways, I wanted to give you some feedback on the app, for the labels (I love the feature), This could be part of another app, but if it is I don't remember which, When someone search for a lable and doesn't find it (bc it doesn't exists) would be cool to have the text you typed in the search bar transported on the "name bar" when you click the "create new lable", anyways the app is awesome, Great work man :D
Appreciate that :) Actually have this functionality on the web version! Are you not seeing it there? Also now just realizing I never ported it to iOS so will do that this week 🙏
Thank you! I usually get notified through email or someone posts on the feedback board. And I keep track of them in Ellie, I have a list full of Ellie bugs :)
Using something called Gitbook to host them (no code required) - right now just linking directly to them within my apps. Once I have some free time I would love to integrate them more deeply so people don't have to leave the app but for now it works!
Thank you! Good luck :) Can't post the link directly in here but I have a video titled "How I built my app | Going over the tech stack I used to build my app" where I go over the tech stack I use!
I'm not an iOS user, but I've been really enjoying your content. I was wondering, what feedback platform are you using? Is it a pre-made service or something you built yourself
Thank you! I might make a separate video on this, but here are 2 quick ones: 1. Follow tutorials and get experience building sample apps (building the sample app > reading the sample code) 2. Start simple and build up gradually (too many people try to tackle too much and get overwhelmed/give up. I started building calculator apps for practice and gradually increased complexity) Hope that helps!
I use Notion calendar (previously Cron) alongside Ellie :) Mainly to perform certain actions I haven't added to Ellie yet (creating a calendar event, inviting people to events, etc...). Once I add these things I'll be able to move off, but they are pretty low on the roadmap compared to other items so might take some time
Appreciate that Ralph! I think whichever one helps you moved the fastest (in my case, multi-code base was actually the answer for Ellie because I moved faster as a Swift+React dev rather than a RN+React developer) Also I think factoring the goals in is important, so if the goal is an incredible experience then maybe multi is the answer so you can build for the platform specifically. But if the goal is revenue/getting users then it might make sense to go cross-platform to get something out there (even if it doesn't feel as native). For my new app Luna I'll be going Swift+React again btw :)
Amazing video, love what you you’ve been able to create with Ellie, keep up the amazing work! Super impressive it’s just you doing the whole app👌
Really appreciate the kind words 🙏🙏🙏 thanks for watching!
Love the spring cleaning idea!
Thank you Kelsey! 🙌🙌
I've been binging your content and you've sold me. I just downloaded Ellie on my phone and it look great so far 👍
Thanks for giving it a try (and watching!), definitely let me know if there is anything I can improve :) 🫶
Amazing work summarising the experience 👏
Appreciate that! 🙏

Amazing! Let me know if you have any questions or feedback :)

I have not actually! But it sounds very fun :) maybe in the future, I’m interested in voice controlled applications
Love your videos brotha
yooooo thanks homie 🫶 lmk when you're back, gotta catch up soon
Great video!
Thank you!

@raroque really? How weird I was talking about the Web app :o,
Maybe I touched something in the settings xD
Love your videos! How do you keep track of bugs or get notified about bugs? Did you create your own app for it?
Thank you!
I usually get notified through email or someone posts on the feedback board. And I keep track of them in Ellie, I have a list full of Ellie bugs :)
I have a question how do you make the documentation or help center for your apps and how you display them in the app?
Using something called Gitbook to host them (no code required) - right now just linking directly to them within my apps. Once I have some free time I would love to integrate them more deeply so people don't have to leave the app but for now it works!
@@raroquethanks but I will really appreciate if you create a video on how to use GitBook and how you made the documentation for the app❤
Nice video. Perfect cadence and quality. I will be launching my app Talo hopefully this weekend. Was curious was tech stack you use for app?
Thank you! Good luck :)

And it’s called Canny :)
i love your videos 😊
Thanks for watching! :)
nice upload once again! you inspire me to pursue mobile app development. any tips on how to learn mobile app dev?
Thank you!

Hi do you use another calendar app additional to ellie or just ellie by itself?
I use Notion calendar (previously Cron) alongside Ellie :)
Mainly to perform certain actions I haven't added to Ellie yet (creating a calendar event, inviting people to events, etc...). Once I add these things I'll be able to move off, but they are pretty low on the roadmap compared to other items so might take some time
Great! I will be looking forward to those features.
Great vid as always Chris! 🫡 Curious about your take on using cross-platform framework vs maintaining multiple code bases?
Appreciate that Ralph!
