Good luck with your app, Chris! Thanks for your experience. I'm also on the start of creating and launching my own AppStore startups, so it's kinda helpful to see video like this one
Looks good, defo want to check it out! Are you basing the budget experience similar to Ynab where everything has a dollar? I also don't feel like I need their complexities but a simple app like this could be wonderful.
Thank you! Taking a few ideas from YNAB but making a few things optional (for example, inflows will actually be something that is going to be completely off by default but can be turned on if you want it). YNAB was the closest budgeting app I stuck with but a few of their things (inflows, how they dealt with credit cards, etc...) made using it less enjoyable for me. But I see the value and want to add them into the app, but let people turn them off if it causes friction :)
For this app specifically I design directly in Xcode (SwiftUI) I used to use Figma to prototype, but I realized that I am much faster doing it directly with code The prototypes in this video were made with swiftUI and the data is hardcoded. Hope that helps!
Yep I try to integrate it with my schedule :) For Tiktok/Insta: I basically just film clips as I work and then make videos out of them (super integrated) For RUclips: its a bit harder, but the content revolves around what I'm working on that week so its semi-integrated. I usually film these videos Sat/Sunday and try to edit them Sun/Monday to get them posted :)
Wow thanks for the shoutout can't wait to try this app soon
Thanks for your support Eric! And for being #1 on the list 🫡

Thank you! :)
Let me know if there is anything you want to see and good luck with your journey too! 🙌
@@raroque Yeah, just keep telling your progress: UI, UX, marketing, developing. All of that is interesting to watch
Great video. I’m working on an app as well which should be launching soon. What is the other project your working on with the M logo for the app icon?
@@davidjustice8087 Thank you! Its my other project Mogul (mogulnetworking.com) :)

Do you first build design prototypes like on figma or what do you do?
For this app specifically I design directly in Xcode (SwiftUI)
I used to use Figma to prototype, but I realized that I am much faster doing it directly with code

Thanks alot mate, what about ellie, i checked it out i like the design it is neat@@raroque
I love the video the app is looking good How are you coding the landing page and the app. I wanted to build a project on the side.
Thank you!
Landing page is built with Framer (no-code), just using a simple template. App built with SwiftUI :)
You got this!
Thank for the info i'll try it@@raroque
how does the landing page take 15 min if you need to design a screenshot to put on it?
Landing page was designed after the screenshot was made 😅
So I guess factoring in the screenshot, the landing page technically was waaaay longer
whats your process for this content creation? does it seamlessly integrate with your schedule? theres so much to learn on being a youtuber ahah
Yep I try to integrate it with my schedule :)

Insightful son.
Thank you!
Which backend technology did you use?
No backend yet set up for this (still prototyping). But leaning towards using Supabase and setting up a simple express server
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
What stack did you use? Is iOS or android?
My most recent video I pushed yesterday goes over the tech stack for this app :)
But iOS (Swift + Supabase)
Can we get a Chris Discord server?
maybe soon 👀
