The transit is just a wonderful vehicle. And i'm so happy the new one has finally an awd system.

I was hoping to hear a little more commentary on how the 2lt engine handles hills when towing the 1.8t trailer?
I'm thinking about the 470 cab chassis and towing and even though it is rated to 3.5t towing I'm dubious that the 2lt engine would be up to the task for a caravan of around 2.9t...?

We have had consistent quality, reliability issues with our fleet of Transits over the years. When they work they are excellent, but too much of the time they were excellent driving paper weights and money pits. As a business decision, we couldn't continue with the product. The Korean product (while far from perfect) has proved far more reliable and substantially cheaper to keep on the road.

Hi CarsGuide do you know if the Honda Civic 2022 is coming in Australia ? Or this new generation is only available in North America ?

should be but it dont know if we sill see it in 2022 Honda is struggling with the lack of sales in Australia. they need to introduce some sort of Pick up vehicle like the ridgeline.

the Ecoblue (in either Euro 5 or Euro 6 spec) engines are nowhere near as good as the older (now retired save for the 5cyl) Duratorque (Euro 3, 4 and 5 spec), the Ranger still has the older Duratorque in Ranger (2.2L 4cyl and 3.2L 5cyl) as does Everest (3.2L 5cyl), yes they are cleaner as they have DPF and SCR (re: Adblue) and will meet Euro 6d should Australia ever introduce that emissions standard.
I agree about engine braking, drive a Ranger/Everest in manual transmission mode (using the silly gear lever toggle switches to lock out over drive gears) and there is basically very little engine braking which is is not good for those long downhill runs where using the brakes will overheat pretty quick.

    1.8t towing capacity??
    Must be a Australian thing….
My custom 290s has a 2.5t towing capacity
