My list:
1: 15-strike eagle. Its laser guided bombs will kill anything and everything. It is fast and hard to hit. And if needed it can fight back against aircraft.
2: f15c (AA) eagle, AMRAAM missiles are insane.
3: mig27/29, same reason as f15c but they are slightly worse.
4: mig221 cluster, it just works really well with the East Germans and there massive AA ground Screens.
5: SU-25/A-10 these have basically the same roles. They are slow and very defensively minded. They will die if you push them past your line, but when an enemy breaks through you bet your ass these planes will save the day
My favourite plane in game as of now is Mirage IV SEAD simply because it has both 2 Martels and 6 big bombs, its hella expensive and only one in the slot but it's super fun to use when it works.
A breakdown of Best Aircraft for a specific mission would have been a better topic for a video. I would love to know the best SEAD aircraft, or the Best CAP aircraft for example.

I play with a mod that gives all unit access for deck construction. I've had to do a lot of cross-division unit comparisons as a result.
What you need to understand is all units have trade-offs. They have at least one good thing about them, and they either sacrifice another characteristic to compensate or have more good things at a high price. So there's no "perfect" unit on paper, but plenty of "good enough" units. Aircraft is the same. It needs to 1) do its job with reasonable success, 2) either be pretty cheap and plentiful OR be able to perform another role.
- Su-24MP has the most ECM at 60 but it's not that great for SEAD. It's slow and has only 2 shots. It is likely escape AA but not an ASF. Medium score.
- There's a 175 CP Jaguar SEAD that moves quick and has 50 ECM. Not bad, except it has only 1 shot. It'll miss and the enemy will still have AA. Low score.
- MiG-27K has 50 ECM as well, and is a bit faster than Su-24MP. It has 2 shots as well, which isn't great, but it has a 5 penetration gun AND it has the speed to use it. It costs 230 CP and has only 2 availability. Medium-high score.
At this point, everything else has 40 ECM.
- Mirage IV SEAD costs a lot at 270 CP but it has 6 400kg HE bombs and great speed. So technically, you can kill a radar AA and drop a load elsewhere before running. 40 ECM is fine tbh, but the price tag means an ASF will make a great trade. The bombs are good, too, but the plane is not a dive bomber and flies at high altitude, meaning you'll miss against someone who is paying attention. Low availability at 1. Medium score.
- Tornado Gr.1 also costs at lot at 295. But it has some short-ranged AtA missiles with decent accuracy to ward off some ASF. It has 3 SEAD missiles at max range and great accuracy so it'll kill its target. And its gun is good enough to snipe 4, 6, and maybe 8 HP helicopters. 2/card. High score.
- Su-22M4P. 240 CP. Gun is great, you might be able to kill 8 and 10 HP helicopters with it. Only 2 SEAD missiles. It has short-ranged AtA missiles as well, but they're weaker at 4 HE damage. Medium-high score.
- MiG-25BM is super-specialized. 4 SEAD missiles, that's it. The SEAD missiles have the best range and accuracy, so this plane could kill even two radar AA in one deployment. Speed is on the slower side, but not the slowest. Pricy at 265 but it'll do its job. Enemy ASF will go after this. High score.
- The other SEAD Jaguar has rockets. It costs 250. There's just 1 SEAD missile, though, and its range and accuracy isn't the best. Honestly, this plane should be some rocket bomber instead of a SEAD plane. Low-medium score.
- F-16C SEAD is an all-rounder. Gun isn't great, but maybe you can get a 4 HP helicopter with it. AtA missiles are good for a non-ASF. The SEAD are contenders for the best. Maybe if it had even 1 more SEAD I'd give it a high score. 2/card. Medium-high score.
- F-4G Wild Weasel V. 4/card means you likely won't run out. Costs 215, which makes it one of the cheapest SEAD. It has short-ranged SEAD with only 50 accuracy, which sucks, but there are 5 of them. 5 is a lot. You'll evacuate from damage before using this many. You'll kill the enemy AA and maybe take a second one. You even have AtA missiles, but they're on the weaker side. No gun, so you won't shoot a helicopter on your way out, but you won't get a chance to use one anyone. High score.

Great video, as always! My favorite plane right now is the MiG-29, making up for the lack of AA in the 35th which I am trying to get to grips with. Hope you will do a similar video on tanks 🙂

I would argue for the Su-25 Rocket, it's insane.
Its reload time is really long atm.
mig 21 if we can call is an aircraft, more accurately a rocket with chicken wing attached to it, heck I use it as one-way trip cruise missile😂
on serious note, i dont know if they can or would consider low flying tactics for helies and aircrafts, may be too much of a hassle idk.

you can already kinda use it with helos. They can change altitude, though it would be nice if it would be easier to make them fly on low altitude. With Planes I guess the layered system for each spawn is the max we will get. But maybe there will be changes there eventually too.

Difficult decision . I like the F-15C Eagle and the Su 27S the best.
How dare you not give the A10 and Harrier RKT their own slot :P
