I have had a personal pizza but never a personal pumpkin. I do enjoy pumpkin pie and toasted pumpkin seeds. The honeymooners are so adorable! They are opposites yet so compatible. Loretta never fails to entertain and Gus is so mellow. Every new addition to the farm has been a perfect fit and adds much to all of our lives. They all fill a need we did not realize we had ... just as the Smith family has done. I remain thankful that all 3 channels exist. Who knows, maybe someday MaryCarl will have her own channel re birds and her photography.
I agree, MaryCarl would be great educating people about birds. And I am really enjoying her photography skills.

Just to share with ya'll; after Halloween, we get a few of the pumpkins that the markets no longer want and make lots of puree and put it in quart freezer bags (freeze flat first and then stand them upright in a box in the freezer) for later use. This year I also made and froze five pumpkin pecan bread loaves (I made six but that one did not make it to the freezer), four pies, and maple pumpkin cream soup in jars for winter night suppers. I also toast the seeds for eating or baking, and the leftover cooked rinds, we put on top of the soil in the garden for the birds or whatever to enjoy. Love this time of year. Hot summer is finally over and everything is pretty much put away for winter.

Good morning Brooke and Jason, you chose the best surprise for the Cog Hill Collective. Even on cloudy wet days there is an abundance of Love and Joy in the Cog Hill Environment. You and Brooke are exceptional Guardians of the Collective. I’m surprised that Brooke didn’t try freeze drying some to make sure the collective could have some in their Christmas Stockings. Your plants are probably enjoying all this rain, you get the pump installed and the rain starts, who would have guessed. 😀👍👍👍

The animals sure loved they're suprise, especially Gus and Loretta! She gets so excited over her food and snacks! Shes a happy girl and I love it! Can't wait for you to have apples on your Trees so Jesse, Mildred and Moody can get in on Treats also. I know the Goats and Chickens will enjoy them but, I look forward to seeing something that Jessie n Cows can eat and really enjoy! You'd have to cut Jessie's up but thats alright to. They were hungry for food also but just didn't get to fill their bellies on all the pumpkins like the others did. I really felt bad for them! Poor little girls n Moody, they're hungry! I woulda give them a little bit of grain just to put something on their belly! Thank you Jason n Brooke for this fun time with Gus, Loretta and the other animals! I wonder if Nugget n Goldie would like the seeds toasted? Brooke, are you gonna cook for the Emu's? Lolol That would be Funny! Ya'll gonna have pumpkins growing all over the farm from those seeds! Do y’all know pumpkin is good for dogs as well? It keeps their guts healthy. When it’s not pumpkin season, just keep cans of pumpkin from the grocery store on hand. It was recommended by my dog’s vet & she never had any #2 problems. I put a little bit in her food twice a week. Loretta is a real hoot!! I can’t believe how quickly she ate all the pumpkin “meat”. 😂😂

Loretta is so funny. She can't believe it that she died and went to heaven. Ha Ha Loretta doesn't want to share. It is nice to see most of the animals love the pumpkins too. My mom would always buy a few extra squash with the stem on it (they last longer with the stem) so we would have them through the winter. What a great find for the animals.
