    I can't imagine not having space in our truck bed so this is a great option! We would love to have a washer/dryer, it looks great in your room! Massage button! 😆 Love that cover on your batteries! We don't encourage dealers either, ugh! We enjoyed the collaboration! Great haircut! - Michelle & Brian

    The very first thing I thought when you started the video was how cute Toni Towe’s hair was! And I don’t know how you guys kept a straight face when Toni kept talking about liking the spin cycle. 😂. I sure hope we cross paths this year.

    Nice mods guys! We love our Gen-Y hitch for that exact same reason we have the entire bed of the truck back. Tanya's next big want/upgrade is a washer and dryer so we can do Laundry when ever we want.

    • @ourrvsunsets
      @ourrvsunsets  6 месяцев назад

      Honestly the washer and dryer was a really nice upgrade. Toni used to get so stressed out about laundry because you never know what you're walking into with RV park laundry facilities. Now she just does a load a day when we're in a place with hookups.

    Jealous of the GenY hitch. If we hadn't already replaced our hitch in the bed of the truck, I'd consider doing this. Something I think we'll do later is to install some Lithium and a couple of solar panels. Especially if we need to ever replace the fridge and move to a 12v fridge. Great stuff guys, as usual! Safe summer travels.

      We LOVE the Gen-Y, and as mentioned, it's really the only reason we are able to do a 5th wheel.
      Safe travels to you and the wiener dogs!!

    I am getting Gen Y hitch envy. Have seen several now do that. Might have make that investment on our next rig if a 5ver. Thats alot of Video gear in the truck...sometimes as a YT'er I fell like we have that much, but we dint. Haha. Would love tot see the finished product of what you guys do professionally.

    • @ourrvsunsets
      @ourrvsunsets  6 месяцев назад

      That's actually not all of the gear. There's a light case and the camera and lenses in the back seat of the truck! As for our professional production stuff, here's a link to the showcases we have on the Vimeo page for our business. There's 3 showcases broken up into Non-Profit, Corporate and Film work we've done. These are considerably different quality than our RUclips stuff. Honestly my biggest challenge with producing for YT is to stop obsessing on image quality. YT is run and gun and all about capturing the moment, story is so much more important than image quality.

    We just bought a Brinkley 3100Z. What kind of washer and dryer model do you recommend?

    • @ourrvsunsets
      @ourrvsunsets  6 месяцев назад

      We have the Splendide stackable washer and dryer. We've been using them for 6 months now and they work great. One quick tip on installing them though. Throw away the water supply lines that ship with them. Those lines come with cheap plastic fittings on them. We replaced them with heavy duty lines with brass fittings. Having the washer and dryer really was a game changer for us.

    Did you add another solar panel to the roof when you switched to lithium? Thanks!

      Sorry, also what brand of W/D did you get? Thanks again.

      @@1991ugamba We went with the Splendide stackable washer and dryer. Quick note on this, which will be in our next video. If you get the Splendide the first thing you need to do is throw away the water supply hoses that ship with it and go get proper hoses with metal fittings from Home Depot or Lowe's. That plastic fittings on the supply hoses that ship with the washer can leak. Ask me how I know!!!

    Your FRIG doesn't run on shore power? Or is this only when your boon docking?

    • @ourrvsunsets
      @ourrvsunsets  4 месяца назад

      The fridge is just 12v. So I believe that when we are hooked to shore power it's pulling power straight from the converter, and then when we're boondocking it's pulling direct from the batteries. Honestly, we really like the 12v fridge!

    Is installing the washer and dryer something you would tackle on your own? And if not, why?
    Also, can you see or hear that the washer or dryer are running from the outside?
    We’re going to sell our motorhome and buy a Brinkley Z-3100, and a washer and dryer are on our must-have list.

    • @ourrvsunsets
      @ourrvsunsets  4 месяца назад +1

      In hind sight I probably would install it myself. I think the biggest challenge is going to be lifting it in and out of the rig. But the install is pretty straight forward.
      You can't really see or hear it from the outside. Maybe if it was a cold day you might see some steam from the dryer vent? You do know when the washer is on the spin cycle inside the rig though. You can feel the vibration throughout the rig.
      We love having the washer and dryer. It just makes things so much simpler when you can do laundry in your rig.
      Good luck on your hunt for your Brinkley. We really do think it's the best made 5th wheel out there.
