      Very scientific method we use for fencelines, going round scrub or when the auto steer shits itself is a bit of masking tape on the windscreen that when you look through the windscreen lines up with the edge of machine. You also get a good feel for where the end of your machine is when you spend 16 hours a day on it

    No lack of hp for all you guys shouting about 700hp+ it's lack of grip. Very dry soil isnt very good at for grip. It all to do with compaction and soil shear strength. When it is very dry it won't adhear very well and slides out under the tracks. Also the higher the sand content the less the traction you get between the track and soil.

    • @beaviccoon470
      @beaviccoon470 2 года назад

      Well before when he was running the John Deere 9620rx he did in fact need more power but now he's running the fendt the fendt has more torque and one extra pony 🐴 compared to the John Deere but the fendt doesn't weigh as much so if he puts more weight on that tractor then he'll most likely get up those steeper hills. However on the steepest hill on his farm he definitely needs more power and weight and when it's a wet season he also needs more power and traction.

  • @snekkerenp8036

    Maybe you need to borrow the Big Bud 747 for the tractor breaker hill. It has 1100 HP, over 3000 ft/lbs of torque. With those 1400 LSW duals and weighing in at 130,000 lbs, it should do it. Its just south of you in Big Sandy Montana.

    tbf, the 1167 is pulling its air from the green grill on top of the hood, not the front.
    so realistically speaking it should be better then 1050, then again 0% so far in the season, seems too good.

    I was just about to ask you what was the point of no return when it comes to slip when you started up that hill and it answered my question. I'm amazed that you can have 50% slip and still maintain traction. My memory is from before the days when you had all the fancy gauges and we just hung in there until the tractor lost it and hoped we could make a turn and go back down.

    Hi Mike, could you not just go down the steeper runs and up the less steep runs or would you lose to much time with drill out of ground on headlands?

    Is there a 800hp 75,000 lb tractor in development by a major manufacturer or is the current size of implements holding bigger tractor development back?

    • @bpaul1201awesome
      @bpaul1201awesome 2 года назад +1

      You are talking about a $1mil tractor there. The market is small for that type of machinery or maybe it isnt nowadays. The biggest issue will always be how to put the power to the ground without slippage or breaking something.

    You'll have to make your own planting tractor out of a Cat 797 to pull the hills though if you leave the back on for grain hauling at harvest you might need bigger unload auger extensions on the combines...
    I hear you about the cup holders our loader has none. Decided to bite the bullet and get a couple but my half a litre coffee cups won't fit in 😭

    not dissing your tractor--- more of the software engineers for your tractor. GUI literally looks like a early 2000's Toyota Yaris. thanks for video tho. I just feel that for a tractor that costs at least 6 figures (maybe more) they can try harder

      Fendt (EU) is upgrading their cabs to FendtOne, Fendt 200, 300, 500, 700, 900 and 1000 series already have them, only 800, 900MT and 1100MT still old cabs, check his Fendt 724 Gen6 videos, 😁 he has also a FendtOne cab on that tractor. 😉

    Any tractor would have trouble at that incline with that kind of weight behind it. Maybe one day but so many factors are holding back all the manufacturers from building one
    Everything is about fuel efficiency, cutting production cost and speed now a days not power and torque
