If you have to use double straps or really ever concerned about breaking straps run them through some old tires or something when they snap they wrap up in the tires eating up a lot of that energy and the weight of the tires keeps the strap down low as it Flys through them. Love from Montana.
Mike, get a 10 foot chain for those hooks on the Deere sprayer, hook to both hooks and your Clovis will pull from the middle of chain, done it a few times
With the cost of those sprayers the least the manufacturers could do is build a tow point underneath the nose. It appears there is an illness of too much styling and too little functionality.
It’s not that. It’s damn near impossible to meet towing standards for sprayers because of the inherent weak point of the wheel legs. Most manufacturers recommend not pulling it for liability purposes even though they know customers do
@@ITubeTooInc Get a crane and lift it out. Don't pull on it. It sucks, but that's the official position, otherwise they'd be liable for breaking machines if they told you to tow where you really could be causing damage in some circumstances
I managed to bury a sprayer better than that once. Someone pointed out the path to cross a ditch, and I went on the wrong side of the bush. 😂. Water was even with the cab floor 😂
I feel rage towards manufacturers who don't put front and rear tow points on vehicles and equipment. It would be so easy for them to design something in to the machine, even if it was a captive cable attached to the main frame and accessible from the front. It's like they ignore the need to get machines unstuck, winched onto trailers etc. Cars and pickups are just as bad. Most you can't tow it without damaging the bumper or front end.
Funny.. on my way home tonite from my hometown, I noticed a lot of sprayer tracks in the field (after a full week or rain here in alberta) with a lot of ruts & skid marks.. no stuck marks, but i'm sure it was pretty close..
In my line of work getting stuck/bogged thats a case of beer you have to buy for your crew u work with so yeah we call that a box Same story with ladders too haha
You must not know much about pulling stuff. Kinetic is not always better. It’s a really good way to get killed and break stuff. It has its place but isn’t for everything
Wonder if you would've been able to get in there to pull those sprayers out with a wheeled tractor. The two track floated pretty well on that saturated ground.
woulda been pretty well the same would of walked right through it, even those sprayers woulda went straight through if they were empty, but both had quite a decent amount of water and spray in them.. And sprayers loaded sink like a stone
You need to get one or two of those large Yankam ropes so you don't have to worry about straps breaking plus it would help with pulling out the equipment.
Mike, next time to keep the ropes from kicking back when putting two ropes together If you have old carpet get a couple of phang thrieces like 10'X10' 3pieces. Lay them over both ends and one in the middle. If the line breaks it'll drop the straps from the weight.
Problem with those hookup loops is that they are meant to be tiedown points while on a trailer. Manufacturers should design something purposefully for this job only..
Mike top content No harm for those young fella to occasionally get down on terra firma and have a walk to check where the are going, you never feel the ground with your ass in the comfort seat ,and we have all been bogged O yeah 🚜🚜☘️☘️🍀🍀🇦🇺🇦🇺🇮🇪
May need to get you some mats like you use to sit a excavator on to work on sloppy ground, have you a machine around to lay mats down that can be moved around pretty easy.....when ground is more like a lake than ground and you have heavy equipment getting stuck happens on a large scale.
Regarding “stucks”: I bet if you look back through your history, the more stucks with seeding is usually a better year for crops. I doubt it would matter with sprayer stucks but with moisture being the true “driver” for good yields I bet the more stucks the better. Don’t get me wrong…getting stuck still sucks!
When it’s wet enough to get stuck however you usually loose 10-20% of land to sloughs and if your wreck anything pulling stuff out it’s fairly costly nowadays. It’s definitely a balance to achieve any success
Doesn't seem to matter which company, parts are crazy high. What does it cost Deere to build that ladder? Probably less than half what they charge for one.
You should get some of the Yankum soft shackles in the size appropriate for your strap. Use them to connect two straps to keep you out of the mud, without the dangers of metal in the middle of the strap. And doubling the strap cuts the applied load on the strap in half, though the load on the anchor points at each end stays the same. So the metal rings on the ends of the strap have half the load on each, while the shackle has the full load.
WOAH! Mike.... come on now, that Green fuel cap is only 30 cents of Chineseium, its the JD box that is expensive, and the reach around from the dealer rounds it up to 1000 bucks :D
Why don’t you tell them to push the button to lift the latter up manually before you pull we always wrap around frame right under ladder never bent one before
TBH as a farm equipment operator myself, you should always get out and have a walkthrough if you don't know. A couple mins of investigating can save you a couple of hours and a headache. I've been taught this ever since I started working in the field. That alkali spot was really obvious!
When mike talks to the tractor about wanting to fight it. I’m sure the tractor is thinking. “Maybe I’ll throw a def code?”
😂🤣

Great video Mike! Thanks! And thanks to Frankels for capturing the action!
Nice work. We planted Tasmanian bluegums around our salt that will soon fix the rising water issue.
1167 didn't want to go down the ladder to tell you what was going to happen with the sprayer.
That was funny when the Fendt ladder wouldn't go down for you and you was talking to it Mike.

@@jacobl1657 So they recommend to just let it sit out there and let it rust to death, or?
Make one.. its easy if you know how to weld
You can't pull them from there. Especially if you get them this stuck. The legs would just fold. Don't ask how I know.

Hey! Watch out for the John Deere sprayers mini step ladder!
Oh dear, too late!!!

Your new guy did good when you get stuck you make sure you get stuck the right way
Bellissimo video. Molto bravo. Bei mezzi.👍👍👋👋💪💪🚜🔝🇮🇹
There is a button to raise that ladder manually I always forget about it when I get stuck 😂
Tie labels onto the towing points saying remember to lift the ladder before towing. 💡😊
Or make the ladder auto like on a challenger. Only way for the ladder to move is to engage or disangage the park brake
You need to get a couple of those Yankum kinetic tow ropes and soft shackles
Thank You

I'm still in awe at how empty that place is. Nothing for so many miles.
Definitely someplace I would not want to visit! Not intentionally leastways
Best place to be, I'm from around that area as well and I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else in the world🥰

You should invest in a yankum rope kinetic! Good show. Sorry about your ladder getting damaged.

Awsome content Mike!
It looks like there was already a set of tracks through that spot?
I see your 2 stucks in 1 night and raise you 3 stucks in one night back in 2020. 😂😎

We are very wet in south west Australia

Mike I think you need to demo a Versatile with tracks!! So good one of them would pull your seeder!?
Seen the latter inches above the ground and thought you couldn't fold it up.
We want more stuck 😁
Frankels damnit why didn’t u warn them bout the ladder 😂🤣
That r4060 looks sweet with those big tires. How long have you had that?
The peril the ladder was in was clear from the first walk-around. - Was like in a horror movie: "The door! The door is over there. The door!"
Hows the crops looking Mike .....tough looking here on Hwy 2
I would pull the finders off and pull from the back, 2 I would leave the fenders of until it goes down the road.
Superbe vidéo le fent 1620 tire
Mike you need the yankum ropes and soft shackles that welkers and Tony fast usses
Good video! More head aches for Mike. 🚜🇨🇦
So could you ask to move the towe mounts? Could the straps be put on top of all the stuff or would that have the effect of pushing down?

Easily 20k per track

@@edchellino8529 about 20k for both tracks probably less. if im honest from last set we replaced
JD ladders are $1000 per rung.

Don't give the new guy too much DUNG... Also Mike you, Frankles, and the New Guy are equally responsible for the damage to the sprayer....
Nope.. I am fully responsible actually... I am the boss and the one pulling, that falls on me and myself alone 👍
But, we gotta give the new guy abit of hard time about it 😆🤫
Hey Mike haven’t you been getting some rain lately?
If a sprayer can get stuck that deep, how on earth do you get a tractor out without damaging literally everything underneath and behind....
Usualy if its that wet it will push dirt out from underith
weld the lader
You might need to get a new strap pretty soon

They’re the used ones the dealer gave them to use

Always works better to pull on angle breaks suction better
Do they stay in hotels or go home every night?
