Yes .. Maharashtrain too called it Ambil .. before cooking we add curd like Kadi recipe and directly cook to boiling temperature. Serve after it is cool. Any cooked recipe is spoiled not fermented.

Such rotten cooked food too raised bcz of bacteria but those bacteria are not healthy bacteria like fermented foods' bacteria. So better to have fresh ragi soup

Without fermentation ragi makes ur body hot... To cool ur body fermentation is necessary... In my home town at Tamilnadu we ferment it in butter milk over night and only small onions are used for topping it

Anyways if know what is ambil ghugrya made from jowar in summer it just tastes and works the same way.
