      ​@@ArchAngel435no too much... slight change in taste. You can also soak ragi powder in water overnight for fermentation and then cook next morning

    In our house i prepare it on a regular basis during summer. It is one of the most healthiest drink. Thanks a lot for sharing. But we dont ferment it and we call it as ragi ambli

    😋😋... In Rajasthan we prepare the same with moth and bajra flours...and called as "Raabdi".. राबड़ी 😋..really super coolant and healthy too..

      @@hebbars.kitchen I am going to mix half cup sprouted ragi flour and half cup jav flour to make this recipe. Jav flour is full of fiber and great for diabetes and heart.

      Yes .. Maharashtrain too called it Ambil .. before cooking we add curd like Kadi recipe and directly cook to boiling temperature. Serve after it is cool.
      Any cooked recipe is spoiled not fermented.

      I think fermentation gives best results
      I do this by fermenting. In Marathi ambavane means fermenting.

      @@shilpajadhav414 yes ambavane means to ferment .. but fermentation process takes place in raw uncooked batter. Whereas cooked batter if left is warm place or in close container it starts to rot ... Such rotten cooked food too raised bcz of bacteria but those bacteria are not healthy bacteria like fermented foods' bacteria.
      So better to have fresh ragi soup

      We have it as morning breakfast as just 2 glass of It is quite filling for the stomach. Not required of cumin powder, coriander and chilli just onion and if u want have pickles as side dish . It will be heavenly.

      I think from Goa and Tamilnadu. Usually they ferment the ragi batter before cooking a kadhi out of it. But this is a healthier version

      Without fermentation ragi makes ur body hot... To cool ur body fermentation is necessary... In my home town at Tamilnadu we ferment it in butter milk over night and only small onions are used for topping it
