He was drinking a lot throughout the 70s and most of the 80's, so it's not surprising that he looks better now. I'm glad he got that demon off his back and is still around.
I grew up as a 90’s kid idolizing the Beatles, completely obsessed with watching and listening to everything they created. I’m still convinced I was born 40 years too late. Love you, Ringo. ❤️
I always say I should’ve graduated the year I was born, 1971. But when I was younger, I never really thought how much that would age me. Now that I do, I think this sentiment applies to my life even more now than then!✌️✌️✌️✌️
Guy's 80 years old and he's longing to get out touring all over the place - next year! I'd be happy doodling about in a studio with a few old 1960s music friends. He's a good bloke, Ringo, long may he continue.
I have listened and thought about the Beatles and especially John and Yoko’s message of love but more importantly peace. We need someone screaming peace and love that can speak to every generation again.
Peace and Love are universal ideas...timeless and eternal and something that all intelligent human beings should be promoting and striving for. Right on Ringo! You are such an inspiration. Love you so much Brother.
Bravo! Just the best interviewer ever Stephen Colbert. Your show has carried me through a terrible year and the interview with Ringo was just so genuine it brought tears to my eyes.
I saw Ringo and his All Star Band about 5 years ago and I couldn't believe how much energy he had. He was hopping around all over the stage. I'm a huge Beatles fan, and I just had to take my son, Jude, to see him. I told him that he'll be one of the few people out of his generation to say he saw a Beatle perform live, which is super cool. I wanted go take him with me when I saw Paul McCartney as well, but it's quite a bit more expensive to see Sir Paul. Lol. I cried like a baby when I saw both of them
Oh boy, is he really 80? Am I really 70? Yup..so I am. In my heydays used to sit in movie theaters and scream with all the young Beatle fans who now are 70 year old fans. How did time fly by so fast.
Yes, time flies. When I talk to my kids about the 60s they feel like I am describing ancient history. Pre-computer. We didn't even have a phone or a TV! The neighbours had a car. The only ones on the street. Makes you wonder what wonders the future will produce!
I was going to marry Ringo when I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. I was 8 years old and it was too long of a wait for him until I turned 16. Very sad romantic story.
My first concert was seeing Ringo live. Probably 10 years ago now. Getting to see one of the Beatles preform live will always be one of my most precious memories as a kid. Peace and Love to you, Ringo.
Ringo looks absolutely phenomenal!! I love everything about him! His haircut looks very handsome on him. He’s just looking so perfect and happy! Peace and Love to you, Ringo! So nice to see you in this interview. I really love this so much! Thank you, Stephen Colbert!
Oh Ringo. Just seeing your beautiful face again on here was the best thing to happen to me all day. You have always been my favorite Beatle! And you know something? You still are. ❤😊❤
When A Hard Day's night was released, the movie theater in Oslo went nuts and screamed their lungs out. I was 9 years old and got up on my seat and told them to shut the f.. up multiple times, cause I wanted to listen to the music. That of course didn't happen, but my mother never got tired of telling that story. Greatest band ever. Thanks Ringo.
It's impossible to overstate the influence the Beatles had and still have on popular culture. Those of us who lived through their brief seven years get very emotional thinking about those wonderful times when they were a band.
I saw the All-Starr's in 1989 @ Merriweather Post Pavilion, near Baltimore. One of the Best concerts I ever saw! Ringo is INVINCIBLE! I love the guy and always have!!
I just love this genuine soul and have loved him since February 9, 1964 (my intro to the Beatles on my black and white TV at age 7). He looks as young as he does, I am sure, because he fosters being happy. Peace and love defines Ringo more than anyone else on earth and maybe in history.
Oh my goodness Stephen Colbert, what An amazing cool coup to have Ringo Starr as your guest. He truly looks incredible and his theme of peace and love has never changed.
Ringo you ROCK!!! When the Beatles were new to North America prep in love with Ringo's sense of humor and vibe.Drummers are always in the background but to me he was the front man in the band,so much talent and personality!!
I love this guy. I remember an interview with the Beatles where he was asked by the Brits “Are you a Mod or a Rocker? And he answered glibly “I suppose I was a Mocker”. Great reply.
Ringo is an inspiration to all of us. I have enjoyed his music for many years. His personality is so positive and tranquil, and he gives off such great vibes. He really is "Peace and Love".
Blimey! Ringo is looking so good for an old bloke. I was in love with him and his mates back in the 60s when I was just a young bird! Nice to see him again after all these years!
+Charles Gallagher I saw that Ed Sullivan too and it was fantastic! Funny thing is I could do a pretty good impression of Ed Sullivan back then and can still do a pretty good impression of Ringo, but do an even better one of the late John Lennon. All in all one of the greatest groups ever!

Cosmetic surgery, hairdye and a healthy, happy life.
In many ways, Ringo Starr is the luckiest Beatle; he's healthy, happy and has been married to the same gorgeous woman for decades. Good for him!
Agreed!
Shame John didn't get to see Ringo marry a Bond girl. "Jesus. He's been the coolest Beatle all along. Da fuh?!"
He’s mr cool Ringooopp
he's had hard times, alcoholism etc but he's come through and survived
