    I love sled work because it gives me absolutely insane quad pumps. Better than almost anything else. I actually do heavy pushes on my squat days as a way to add a bunch of extra leg volume with little to no impact on my muscular recovery. In fact, I feel MORE recovered on my next squat day having done this work. It is really an awesome piece of gym equipment. It is a shame they aren't more common.

      @BaconIsNotBiceps Год назад +1

      Yeah, that walking backward pulling the sled is BRUTAL on the quads. My brother owns the gym I've trained at since 1981, but the original owner who passed in 2017 used to absolutely destroy athletes with the sled and these damn weighted wheelbarrows he had custom made to climb hills. John Cena trained at our gym for years and even has vids talking about putting his fist through walls after training like an animal. At age 76 Dave Nock, the founder, used to load the wheelbarrows with hundreds of pounds then climb this huge hill/street outside the gym. The man was an animal with no quit in him. He wouldn't put you through anything he himself didn't do. He was an amazing guy who loved to watch people suffer. LoL

    • @wearetheremnants1615
      @wearetheremnants1615 Год назад +1

      I'm currently doing everything backwards sleds, walking up stairs , wheelbarrowing to attempt to rehabilitate destroyed knee (grade5 osteoarthritis) like the knees over toes guy suggests. The pain is lessening and quads are on fire.
      I do a little something every day and it seems to be working amazingly well.. hoping to be able to get to parrallel on a squat maybe even lower 🤞🏻

There was an Asian girl and her little sister who were visibly fan girling about it, but obviously shy, so I asked him if they could have a quick picture with him. He is an incredibly gracious man and agreed. I can't overemphasize how good a dude he is). But they weren't prepared for a crowd that size and it showed.
