- HI ALL! Thank you so much for your patience! I really struggled with this longer edit but we made it! In this video I watch and react to the Mugen Train movie of season two of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
I was a bit run down as I recorded this movie and it made for bit of an emotional Shark. There are lots of tears for the lots of events.

I am feeling a bit better as well now which helps - thanks for the get well wishes on the community post! So so much happens in this movie and I hope you enjoy the longer video and reaction! Zenitzu's dream isn't ridiculous. I believe it explains how alone he always was and how much he wants a family of his own.
I mean it was only nezuko, so i dont really see that. Maybe his spiritual core, but thats about it

Even though it was only a short while. Rengoku left a big impact in all of us🔥.
Don’t feel bad, no Hashira can defeat Upper Moon 3, 2 and 1 alone. That’s how powerful they are. This movie is supposed to show the difference in power levels between the Demon Slayers and the Upper Moons.
They can't beat any of them alone, not just the top 3. they would all lose in a 1v1...except against daki.

During the entire fight Akaza was playing with Rengoku. The only time he used his annhilation type was the singular blow that killed Rengoku. *That's* how strong the Upper Moons are. It's pretty insane when you think about it, how with even Akaza just fooling around that Rengoku managed to drive a little panic into him at the end.
@You alright boi ? even if Muzan played around, a single hashira could never do anything. Strength is also a very large factor generally in determining a win. Being stronger automatically gives you an upperhand. Being bigger, gives you an upperhand.
Skill is the other side of the coin.
In terms of this show, Akaza is the stronger and the more skilful of the two. He also has heaps more willpower. Which you will get to see later on unless you have read the manga. His willpower allows him to pull off absolutely impossible feats.

@@siyem2051 I am basically saying he was a exception in the corp because he was built different, like he himself literally has the Godlike abilities. Plus, he was the only one who could've beat muzan in his era till tanjiro came.
I saw this in theaters, and I sobbed like a child at the end. No shame in tears.

Man this hurt. Knowing what happens from having seen it and hearing your optimistic commentary had me in my feels! We barely got to know Rengoku but in that short time they found a way to make us sad to see him go. He went out like a G though. Great reaction.

I like how when Rengoku accepted that he was going to sacrifice himself, the music in the background shifted to what sounds like pipe organ hymms in church, signifying that Rengoku has passed the spiritual divide

tanjiro killing himself over and over again to wake up from the spell is one of the most badass shit ive seen a main character to in any anime
i couldnt believe after the initial fighting we were gonna get a upper moon vs hashira and boy it delivered - the sheer hype and emotion and animation ofc are hard to replicate ...the voice acting on tanjiro as well is on another level, its been a while since ive seen a movie with a sad ending but i loved it and i cant wait for akaza to get fucked
I suggest rewatching episode 1 of season 2 *just to see how it hits different.* Don't need to react to it. Just catch the bits that the movie make stand out. *You might cry again.*
Rengoku's speech is probably my favorite speech of any film. We're wallowing in our grief over his loss as he tells us not to. 😢
Can we also all agree that Inosuke is the 2nd MVP for that save on Tanjiro w the neck cut... 🥺 so good.
Funny how they gave us Rengoku in just one movie and everyone fell in love with him. I really do wish he stayed alive. I had sooo much anticipation to see his impact on the story ever since the first time we met him.

I could be mistaken but Japanese solders thoroughly enjoy their meals because they never know when that will be their last meal if I’m not mistaken or it was something like that and I think him saying delicious is like a call back to that I believe
In a way it’s lucky akaza was the upper moon who showed up. Akaza loves to fight strong opponents and can’t resist a challenge like fighting a hashira, especially because that hashira has moves that he hasn’t seen before. As a result he didn’t go for a quick victory or attack the bystanders, he dragged out a fight with rengoku to try and convince him to become a demon. I don’t want to spoil anything, but let’s just say the other upper moons have vastly different temperaments, and had they shown up it would’ve been a bloodbath.
Man I would of loved to see this in theaters seeing everybody crying 😢
Rengoku is a favorite of mine, he was so inspiring and such a motivation. I got a tattoo of his sword on my calf, and I plan on putting his "set your heart ablaze!" next to it in Japanese.

Yes it is quite emotional. Rengoku has such a strong conviction and unwavering fighting spirit. These kind of persons are So few in our society. So seeing one on the big screen can hopefully "Set our Heart Ablaze." 🔥🔥🔥

Today is my second time watch this movie with my bf, first time in cinema. Still I didn't cry out, just have tears rolling in my eyes. But whenever I sing ending song - Homura in karaoke, the lyrics will be deeply touching my heart.

Wonderful reaction! We’re all a mess over Rengoku. Such a loved character. Nothing wrong with having mixed feelings to how Tanjiro escapes the dream state. It’s based on the idea though that you wake up from a dream if you die in it. Like the idea of waking up suddenly if you have a dream about falling. As for the lower ranks, I think this Lower One was stronger than Rui (lower five), but it doesn’t seem like it, because Tanjiro and Nezuko had to face Rui alone at first. This time Tanjiro had many companions already here. And he has also grown stronger with his training at the end of season 1. But imagine past Tanjiro facing this demon with just Nezuko. It would not have ended well.
Thanks Andy and thank you for the comment! You make a great point about how time has passed since lower five and the gang have had a lot of training.. I will have to try keep this in mind as we go as I might have Tanjiro stuck in his earlier sort of 'strength levels' :)
@@TinySharkReacts Oh, no worries! It’s easy to do. But you can definitely think of Tanjiro and Nezuko as leveling up as the seasons progress. So we’ll see that he levels up again after the next few episodes, so by the end of season 2, he’s different than he was at this beginning of season 2.
Akaza appearing in his fight with Rengoku was enough for me not to cry at Rengoku's death
37:15 This is why soundtrack is SO important. It places viewers in the moment. Let's them know how dire the situation is. This scene is where Inoske and Tanjiro really shines.
Given how Gyomei deduced the "see-through world" and figured out how to access it while fighting Kokushibo (talk about grace under pressure, I mean goddamn), I think he's probably the only character aside from Tanjiro who would be able to figure out the connection between Akaza's abilities and his own fighting spirit. He might even be able to figure out how to extinguish his own fighting spirit. If he manages that, I think he'll be able to behead Akaza.
Unfortunately, Akaza was able to overcome decapitation while fighting Tanjiro and Giyu, and I have a feeling that if he did the same while fighting Gyomei, he'd have no problem finishing him off once his head fully re-grew.
So I only see Gyomei winning if 1) he activates his mark, 2) he overcomes the whole fighting spirit problem, and 3) he turns his blade red, which would allow him to stunt Akaza's regeneration even after he re-grows his head. If all of those conditions aren't met, I'd say Gyomei loses everytime.
And Akaza literally isn't even trying here
Fun Fact, Rengoku's Esoteric Art "Rengoku" in other subtitles it means "Hell Fire"

Non Spoiler: lower one was lot more Powerful than lower 5, if it isn't Rengoku's help tanjiro and the gang couldn't save all of the passengers life. They could try to defeat lower one but couldn't save all the passengers. Rengoku vs lower moons is a piece of a cake for him but then Rengoku vs Upper Moons is not even a threat for upper moons that's the power difference between lower and upper moons. Can't wait for ur reactions on next season 😃

Rengoku's death is so sad, even more so when you see that in the manga he only lasted a few pages, unlike the anime that extended a little

Not even close. The higher the rank, the harder will take to kill the demon, especially Upper Moon 1,2 and 3
The fact that Akaza was just toying with Rengoku (cuz he could end him in seconds) shows that his goal was to convince him to become a demon, so he really didn't want to kill him and this sets a huge difference in power between Hashiras and upper moons. And Tanjiro in his current state hasn't even started to scratch that level.

I don't think there's a single set of subs out there that gets it right. In English text it should read as "Ninth Form: Purgatory", which is what Kyojuro's family name means.

Yeah the upper 1 is easier to get taken down bcs there are like 5 of them, rui vs tanjiro is only 1 vs 1 (or maybe 1 vs 2 with nezuko yk but both r amateurs at that time). ANDDD enmu's scale is so much bigger, if rengoku went alone enmu would win.

'Rengoku' means in Japanese is kind of 'Purgatory' or 'Inferno', but neutral place.
There are not exact interpretation since slicely different idea between western and eastern culture but yes, name itself is a bit spoiler.
It’s scary to think that akaza could’ve ended the entire fight in a few seconds, he was clearly playing with rengoku and wasn’t trying, seems he lost track of time tho lol.

Bro gyomei is already in his peak , hashra's are not actually training, they are teaching there training methods to new gen , other hashira are awaken there demon Slayer mark in mid fight,but gyomei can actually access that early but he just waiting for an opportunity , hashira like gyomei,sanemi are already strong enough to face against upoermoon,

Rengoku is definitely not the better fighter lol. Akaza is playing with him. He’s fighting with his hands and knows his arms will regenerate instantly and just uses them to block. Akaza was so much stronger than rengoku here if he didn’t want to play with him he could have killed everyone in seconds.
That’s always the claim but he clearly panicked when inosuke got close. I never buy that rengoku was that much less strong than akaza
