While i agree that diabellze isn't as good as antispell, your opponent does have to pay a tax to use the spell they actually want to resolve because you will pop the firts thing they set. Also i main king tiger instead of statue because it gives me another search target for big winged in the branded fusion line where u use a gazelle to bring our rindbrumm. U still end on chimera king and king tiger loaded in grave if u need it. I never liked playing patchwork package myself because i always draw the complete engine but thats due to my bad luck i guess. Other than that nice deck and tnx on chaos angel idea.
Diabellze in Chimera is much better than anywhere else because your engine pretty much always sets up a Guardian Chimera play. So if they want to resolve a spell, they need to set 1 to play around Diabellze popping it, and set a second one to play around the Guardian Chimera popping it. Them having 2 spells they can afford to sacrifice plus the one they want to resolve is not that common.
Diabellze the Original Sin is amazing since its a one sided weaker Anti Spell Fragrance on a body. Also its a direct counter to Diabellstar's effect.
Essentially your opponent cannot play quickplay spells like Forbiddon Droplet, book of moons or eclipse, tenpai quickplay, wanted, chimera fusion, and super poly to name of a few if she is face up on the field.
Also a combo to consider using Diabellze is to main 1 copy of sinful spoil morrigon. With nightmare apprentice effect, you summon her and add Diabellze. If you have sinful morrigon in hand you can discard for apprentice cost to summon her. Then you can special summon diabellze since the sinful spoil morrigon is in gy. Then from the gy effect of morrigon, you can set it to the field. Then if you want you can the trap's effect or diabellze to pop a set card using the trap for the cost of that effect.
I get what you mean I personally just don’t think currently it’s good enough for the main, some of your points though made me think and I will try it out the next few locals and see how she feels
You could do that, but I found it more feasible to, when fusing Gazelle retrain and Big Wing Berfomet with Chimera Fusion, the Berfomet Fusion monster's Foolish Burial effect to send Diabellze to GY, then use Big Wing Berfomet GY effect, if it was used as a Fusion material, to target an Illusion monster in the GY and Special Summon it onto the field, i.e. Diabellze.
Ehh... I'm not dropping that kind of money on cards just released 😂
I've been going Chimera Yubel since Yubel is a fiend. It's been interesting to say the least lol
I’ve seen in the ocg they play a small yubel engine so it works for sure
What’s the Yubel package you play in the deck I’m thinking about making Yubel / Chimera variant too since I have all the cards except the new nightmare throne and nightmare pain

It’s a bad anti spell, branded can still set fusion then activate it, snake eye can do the same thing with bonfire so I personally just think it’s overrated but I will test it more in the coming weeks

How are you syncro summon when both monster are not even tuner
Chaos Angel has an effect where you can treat a light or a dark as a tuner for its synchro summon.

I ended up ordering two Nightmare Apprentice’s and I’m planning on ordering one Diabellze but I’m on the fence about getting a third Nightmare Apprentice. I’ve seen some people say to have her at 3 but I know it’s still too early since she was released to really know
It’s always down to personal preference anyway tbh and I will probably only play 2, I sided one out most games
Nightmare apprentice can search any illusion monster. She will only continue to be more important as the archetype evolves. So it doesn’t make sense to get less than 3 unless you don’t intend to play illusion at all in the future.
@@FingersCrossed also this is a board breaker format so diabelze is actually broken. Maybe just not in your local meta.
@@FingersCrossed yeah I’ll just order a third copy to complete the playset. Since there’s gonna be more support for Illusions it’s not gonna hurt to have the third
