This was one of the most best videos explained it so well thanks man just got a crossbow for the first time encountered this problem and now it’s fixed thanks to you god bless bro
Great video! I have one more thing to add. I will add by my recent experience. I was shooting a Ravin R29X, built my arrows to500gr up from the stock 400gr. Set up. 3 brand new Ravin lighted luminocks three shots and three broken nocks and damaged nock bushings!! I just figured that because they all blew through the target is why I never saw any lights. Truth be told they all blew apart when I pulled the trigger! So now I am confined to the r500 only nocks. Sent a message to Ravin but never received a response!!!
@@kevindonahue7355 take a look at page 10 of the ripper 425 owners manual. It indicates minimum arrow weight of 370 grains, minimum length 20" and half moon nocks must be used. Knowing this and comparing these numbers to the Sirius Phoenix...you'll find the answer is YES.
Always refer to owners manual! ALWAYS! I do have a question howeaver... Not regarding safety, but NV optics on my Legal 405... I installed my sightmark photon XT, using low profile rings. Stangely, I ran out of windage adjustments and the bow still groups well but aprox 3" to the right. Do you please have any sugestions? Is it possíble to, somehow, compensate (fix weaver rail adjustments or something) for this lack of "clicks? Thank you much for sharing! 👍👍
I don’t have any experience with that particular scope, seems odd that you’d run out of adjustment tho. Is it possible your scope rail is loose or crooked?
@@draggindeeroutdoors UPDATE, on runing out of clicks: The rings were funked up... which is strange, they were NEW Hawke rings... New Warne rings and problem solved :-)
Just bought a Barnett crossbow today. Owners manual say when you pull string back the safety will go to safe. Funny it says nothing about make sure it's on fire before pulling string up. Glad I thought about this and watched this video. My new bow was on safe out of the box.
Older Excalibur crossbows like the matrix and grzll need to be cocked in the fire position but then the safety needs to be manually reset. I have a newer Excalibur Assassin where when cocked in the fire position the safety automatically engages.
All the Matrix and Micro and older Excaliburs will ONLY cock with the “safety off”. If the safety is on, it will not latch. The newer Assassins and perhaps the newer cease fire bows can be cocked and the safety will auto engage.
Many, many crossbows require the safety to be at the "fire" position prior to cocking. The safety then automatically is set to the "safe" position once cocked. Please check your owners manual to make sure you're operating your bow per the manufacturers requirements.
Always make sure it is on fire mode first to cock crossbow I really love crossbow hunting are the ripper 425 safe to cock with out limbs delaminating had one a while back I was cocking it back the limb cracked
Nicely presented and never be distracted while in the process of cocking your bow..
Thank you, Robert!
I made this mistake and this video is what i needed to solve the issue. Thanks!
Glad this helped!
Bro!! You made my day 🎊🎊🎊🎊🙏🔥, Complete details of what I'm looking for!! ❤❤

Great tip! Lighted nocks are great but they can cause problems.

Thanks much! I was assembling the bow right out of the box and assumed that it was meant to be on safe.

I was about to be that guy, and then I found this video. Thanks so much
Glad I could help!
Thanks, I'm new at this and already need to reset it 😢
Happens to many, especially how we’re programmed to handle firearms. Little different with a crossbow. Good luck this season!
What happens if you do this with a cooking device? I have a powerdraw with a centerfire crossbow. My power draw is locked

Could you please help me I bought a brand new hyper tac 420 and it’s stuck on safety cocked
Is it stuck with or without an arrow loaded?
@@draggindeeroutdoors without arrow
@@shockertroglen1269 that is your anti-dry fire. The bow will not let you move the safety from "safe" to "fire" without an arrow properly loaded.
If the crossbow is unintentionally caught, is it safe to dry fire it or should I just load an arrow to fire the bow.
NEVER dry fire any bow!! Load an arrow and shoot it, or if something seems to be malfunctioning take it to your local pro shop.
I never got my crossbow cocked and it's stuck on safety and it won't let me switch to fire
Someone help please
This video shows what to do!
I noticed the KI Lumix scope. How has it been after a couple years of use? Thanks.
I'm a big fan of the KI Lumix speedring scope. Love the reticle on it, very solid scope for the price.

So i cocked my crossbow in safety so how do i uncock it?
If the string properly engaged and locked in the trigger box you should be able to load an arrow, put the safety to “fire” and shoot it.

Flip the safety before he pulled it back
How can I reset when string is locked but not cooked all the way?
