In the comics the character is fine. Especially when he interacts with Blade (which won't happen since Morbius isn't MCU) but this movie just sucked. This whole spider man world without a spider man sony is trying to make is just one big mess. Can't stand their movies - Only Vampire people are excited for in Marvel is Blade, we better get a wesley snipes cameo

But we're forgetting that people will go and see a bad movie BECUASE it's a bad movie.
It happened with the Sonic movie and now it's happening Morbius.
Sonic at least has some self-awareness about what it is. Morbius tries so hard to be taken seriously and it flops HARD

I can’t tell if this is a joke. Morbius failed at the box office. It had the second worst opening out of any superhero movie. After the first weekend the box office dropped by nearly 75%.

I’m starting to think Kelsey is just loving claiming really bad movies for the controversy cause I can’t believe she actually loved it. It has 16%/1 star rating for good reason! Id be perfectly fine if they recasted Jared Leto if there’s a second movie and act like he never was there. At least a decent main actor can make the poor script entertaining.

Loved this episode! I thought it was funny that Zach was the one that did the mascara commercial though lol. Not because men don't wear makeup, but I have never heard of Zach wearing mascara/caring about mascara ??? Just as a constructive piece of criticism, the ad would have felt more authentic if someone who regularly wears makeup had said the script :)

didnt watch the movie, may see it idk...I liked Morbius in the cartoon, so when the trailer came out I was mildly excited. Base off Kalsey, I kinda want to see it more lol. Also making Blade the anti hero and have black cat add in the movie would make it better for me.

I actually kinda liked this movie 😂 Only issue I had is that the "villain" was just a huge asshole for kinda no reason. Like yeah sure, he's been bullied all his life n felt weak cause of his disease, but that doesn't justify being a murderous jerk just because he can 🤷🏼♀️

I haven’t seen it but one thing that makes this movie bad is Jared had them push this back several times to ensure full theater release. This movie back in the day would have been straight to DVD.

Oh Zach you're getting Blood Libel mixed up with Revenant lore here. Blood libel was where medieval Christians believed jews were in league with the devil and commiting unspeakable acts against Christian children, kinda like witches and demons etc. Because they believed the jews were responsible for Christ's death and continued to hate all Christians. Which when you know how marginalised jews were is freaking terrifying that people believed this.
Vampire lore is really more a 17th/18th cent thing. And while undoubtedly the antisemitic tropes got baked into the legend it was never vampires = jews. More jews are called vampires, once vampires became a thing. Vampires come out of more rural folk belief in eastern Europe via Germany, about the unsettled dead. I.e. people not buried right. Dying in unwholesome ways. Then they rise from the dead and terrorise the neighbours.

No joke Leto came up in Hollywood same time as Christian Bale, they were both in American Psycho (where we delight in Leto getting murdered) and when you hear Bale talk about him... there is NO respect there. You can tell Leto has been a fly in Hollywood that no one really wants there, but he's pretty and popular in the world, and rich, so no one can ignore him.
Wondering what the three of you thought of Shang-Chi. For all of Kelsey’s concerns, I thought Shang-Chi was the best movie Marvel has made in a while and it was a pretty tightly produced movie as well. Y’all should review that next.
