This is why, there is only one sound- use Borla's on the lowly 3-V 4.6 V8 and you have the best sound I have ever heard , with the exception of Tom, my Blue Tick Baying Coon-hound. It was improved , BUT IT HAD A TOUCH OF THE RICE ROCKETS of decades ago. but a 3-V is deep, and a complete joy to hear.
You can’t judge the sound of exhaust until it is under load. Just sitting there in neutral and running up the RPM will never give you the real sound of the exhaust
I don't get where the crackle is coming from when you let off the gas. I've had this exhaust on my 21 ranger for almost a month now and not heard the crackling at all.
@@zakaa3068 I just climbed under the truck and unbolted the exhaust. Pulled it right out and in came the new exhaust. Its a bit tight, but totally doable
I'm just upset they forced us to stick with the EcoBoost. As a 5.0 lover, this truck would be fuckin sick with a coyote stuffed in it. Ford missed out big time doing that with the Bronco as well. Sad.
Its really not supposed to crackle. Its likely just because the truck is cold. You can get a tune though to improve the sound to your liking, and skyrocket the performance
@Boosted Ranger Oscar Mike Ive yet to hear like crackle or pop since I've installed the s type dual exhaust on my ranger. No idea where the difference might lay.
I gotta ask, what was your issue with the headlights? I'm driving a Supercrew XLT right now with the stock lights (Non-LED) and they're quality lights. They're far and away plenty bright enough for my needs. If I had any complaint it would be that they act like they have eyebrows or something, the light doesn't project out vertically very well. Anything higher than about my eye-level is still pretty unlit (~5'9" here) but tbh any lightning above that I would expect to use some rack lights or something. For brightness they're great. Full disclosure though, I'm not a big fan of the blueish/purple colors that a lot of LED units often project. I more prefer the natural lighting you get with traditional lights, though the LED lifespan is a big plus.
Coming from a dude that probably has a lifted truck and doesn't tow or do shit with it lol, go get a car old man. Your pavement princess needs attention.

perfect sound. would the original engine sound like that? i like pops and bang. 🔥🔥
I didn’t except it to pop but I’m happy it did

Black dual tip look really nice on any truck 👌🏻
That pop though 👍🏽🎵👂🏽

For a cheaper alternative cut the muffler off and straight pipe it but leave the resonator in line that way you won't get drone
I’m intrigued lol. Got a video?
Mines on the way to me I’m excited like a kid in Christmas to put it on
I don't get where the crackle is coming from when you let off the gas. I've had this exhaust on my 21 ranger for almost a month now and not heard the crackling at all.
Same here
Maybe they had a fire in the background
I’m pretty sure this truck has a down pipe upgrade on it.
Maybe the truck was cold. It sounded like a cold start which can induce some crackling I'd imagine. If it was warmed up first I doubt it would crackle
Ordered this exhaust last week. Waiting on it to arrive.
wow 800-1200 and then have to install it!!!! nice sound and looks nice but way over price for me. want more sound but think can find it cheaper
Could the exhaust be installed without using a jack?
Yea, I installed it in about an hour without lifting the truck
@@BIG-ES- can you tell us how you did it?

Mate would that go on 2021 3.2ltr ranger

Its heavy and you get less torque
At least its a mean sounding 4 cyl, well with the borla anyway.
Bigly!
Wouldn't fit. The 3.5 ecoboost doesn't fit either.
Why? The 2.3 turbo moves. The 2.7 would rape the 5.0 if it was in this truck.
Mine doesn't crackle how do I make it do that? Thats mostly the reason I bought it was for the extra crackle at the end

@@Bassprohat101 In the video at the end they stated it would crackle, was this Ranger used already tuned?
I thought with a recirculating bov you domt hear it.... does this truck have an aftermarket blow off vavle?
I hear mine even more now with this exhaust
I hear a subdued whistle from the BOV on my 2020. same as I did on my stock SRT-4. no "PSSHH" like a vented BOV
Sounds better than MBRP.
It is louder than the MBRP but I don't care for the sound of this Borla....
@@frandanco6289 I have the mbrp it was cheaper and not as loud as this

Do you still get that popping when the engine is warm ?
@Boosted Ranger Oscar Mike any new videos of this exhaust? It's the only video I found that has the crackle. Curious if its just this video.
@Boosted Ranger Oscar Mike Ive yet to hear like crackle or pop since I've installed the s type dual exhaust on my ranger. No idea where the difference might lay.
Where can I get those mud guards?
I ordered them from Ford when I built the Ranger, and they installed them.. Go to their Parts Department...
Why didn't you drive it so we could hear how it sounds inside the truck???? Only have 1/2 a review here....
Is that a stock motor with just the exhaust modification??
Yes
Pretty sure it has a down pipe as well.
will this void the warranty?
No. But depending on state, you may not pass inspection
is this the inline 4?
yes it is
Sounds like a fuckin fiesta
Sounds like a bumble bee farting in the wind
diesel?
Nope 2.3 ecoboost
Almost $1k for exhaust?? Holy shit parts are expensive these days
I was disappointed in two things with the ranger... Exhaust and headlights...
Both can be changed

Some engines don’t need to be heard. This is one of them. I think They sound terrible.
