You can hear some typical Adelisms in her performance but also a lot of personal touches and of course her unique rich voice. That zig-zag riff is indeed a delight and then all of the sudden she blasts in her mixed voice. She did some very restraint covers with Heal the world and When you believe: showing you do not always have to blast away and still be very impressive. She also covered MJ's Billy Jean which is jazzy re-interpretation and is star example of making a cover your own. What might be of interest as well, is checking out some original songs with Million Miles and 7th Heaven being the most recent.
