    I am in tears right now... I haven't seen this recording in over ten years, couldn't find it anywhere. I remember I saw it on youtube about that time ago, but it was only a partial clip. To hear the greatest singer that walked earth sing praise to our lord is sublime. A true gift from God, George was, my God could he sing. I can't believe you put this up, bless you. This is such a moving performance, as weak and coked up as he was, damn, what a voice.

    The loss of his one true love Tammy Wynette, not only addicted to alcohol George had a terrible cocaine addiction, these three things nearly killed him. On March 6th 1999 While driving drunk George hit a bridge head on and it nearly killed him. When George woke up from his coma he asked for Vestal Goodman to come pray the devil out of him, Vestal came to the hospital and prayed with George and he gave his life to Christ and he never drank never used cocaine he even quit cigarettes

      The best in my opinion. He could pull the hurt and feelings out of your heart; not to mention his range, tonal/resonation/timbre ..

    George was the greatest singer ever in my opinion. But, I was so sad seeing this. He looks to be in such rough shape.

      He had the PERFECT country singer's voice. My deceased mother would sit and CRY her eyes out listening to "He Stopped Loving her Today." Today, I cry when I hear it. Thanks for this video. eM

    Why does george sound so off-key and bad ??

    • @annalbin
      @annalbin 17 дней назад

      George was probably at his very lowest. Cocaine, alcohol, excessive weight loss. Johnny and Waylon were doing what they could to keep him alive. It’s a miracle he survived those years. He sounded weak.
