the concept of matriarchy for me is a frustrating one, because there has never really been any serious debate on this. A few anthropologists and some political activists have looked into the matter but the results are questionable and debatable. Oh well lets go through the points presented by the content creator, shall we
    1) female creator and goddess, yes acceptable, however this doesn't necessary denote a matriarchy.
    2) matrilineage, yes thats acceptable also matrifocality
    3) nature based, whats that? this means absolutely nothing. All ancient religions were nature based, and yet they didnt prevent or favored the birth of patriarchy or the demise of matriarchy.
    4) feminine values code and behavior...what does this even mean? absence of laws and rules? wrong. All societies are based on laws and rules even the Mosuo, you can go the most primitive tribe on earth and you be surprised by the amount of rules and laws they have, This is pure BS and a not well thought either.
    5) egalitarianism, wrong its a matriarchy therefore the lineage goes down from mother to daughter and that means daughters are the ones with most privileges and education since they have to take over the family wealth. This alone ends every dream of egalitarianism. Its just a not well though attempt of putting second wave (1960s till 1990) intellectual current of feminism inside the concept of Matriarchy.
Many proponents also some anthropologists often confuse Matriarchy with ANARCHY. Anarchy is the society without laws and law enforcement. Anarchy comes from ancient Greek, Archos means ruler and anta or anti that mean NO or opposite. So its the society with no rulers such as kings queens barons warlords presidents etc. Matriarchy on the other hand is the rule of the mother...from latin MATER = mother. It already denote a hierarchy and a clear political structure, as we can see with the Mosuo and their complex social rules or the Hindu Khasi. In short the image we have regarding matriarchy is a anarcho-feminist creation that has no basis in reality. Its a political construct for short term political gain in the western sphere. In conclusion 'the male way of thinking' that the creator expose is still the winner, due to be the most practical.

On your 5th one - it’s not even necessarily about family wealth. It’s an assumption and men’s larger fixation and current relationship with material wealth is too tied up in access to women and family to push that contention further. Households being matrilineal rather than in the man’s hands isn’t even that far fetched, since aside from electronics male energy is generally a moving one that doesn’t want to stay put. This also assuming education would cost tons of money? Still too many assumptions overall. Egalitarian is more about what fits people better, what judgments and expectations are lifted, and so much more than just drawing a horizontal line on a sheet of paper.

@@Lyn.isGrey are you kidding me family wealth is not necessary only monetary but also in form of land or cattle. Its what assure your survival and your tribe.
In primitive societies its not do what you wilth, this is a modern thing, but do what you most, based on your natural abilities and necessities of the tribe. We are talking about a world with no elettricity and water from natural sources such as rivers or lakes. Also it’s not just worshipping a female , it’s worshipping a female Gya that embodies feminine traits. So
Worshipping the female god of war would not be a matriarchy, it would be a manipulation of spiritual energy to hijack the feminine and bend it back to patriarchy. You need to have Both a female god that embodies matriarchal values either sole or in unity with a masculine.

While there are a lot of questionable things in this video she does have a point there.
Often times when people imagine matriarchal societies they imagine an inversion of patriarchy. But that doesn’t really make a lot of sense.
Now most people define Patriarchy as a society where men dominate women, which isn’t an inaccurate definition but it isn’t a full definition. Because it begs a question that isn’t answered by the definition: why are women dominated by men in patriarchy?
“A society where men dominate women” tells us the dynamics of patriarchy but does not tell us what causes that dynamic.
Patriarchy can be more fully defined as: “a society where sexual reproduction is controlled by cisgender men.”
That in patriarchal societies the patriarch of the household controls when his female relatives become pregnant is not an accident of patriarchy but the very core of patriarchy.
And in order for the patriarch to control pregnancy they must dominate those who are capable of becoming pregnant. This is also why patriachal societies tend to be homophobic and transphobic.
Queerness undermines patriarchy in ways too numerous to mention. Which is why it is almost always stigmatized.
Take ancient Greece, though often hearlded as a beacon of acceptance of queerness that’s not entirely accurate. In greek society sexuality was not understood in terms of attraction but in terms of what role you played during sex. In Ancient Greece it was acceptable for a Man to penetrate and for Women and Boys to be penetrated. But for a man to be penetrated during sex was unacceptable.
Returning to matriarchy, if a patriarchy is a society where pregnancy is controlled by men, then a matriarchy is a society where people who can become pregnant control how, when, and with whom they become pregnant.
I say people who can become pregnant because trans people exist, have always existed, and always will exists. And not every person who can become pregnant is a woman and not every woman can become pregnant.
In such a society there would be no need for women to dominate men. Because pregnancy is controlled by the people who become pregnant.
And indeed real life matriarchies tended to be very egalitarian. While matriarchies where women dominate men are virtually unheard of. The closest we get are stuff like the Amazons where a Patriarchal Society (The Greeks) encounters an egalitarian society (The Scythians) and assumes women must dominate men because the notion of men accepting women as their equals is so alien to them as to be inconceivable.

i go by my divine memory of what perfect living was - i see in my spirit that there was no binary of feminine and masculine - only the divine 'Feminine' with an upper case 'F' - but the accrued cultural baggage of language can be quite a stumbling block - so for utmost simplicity's sake I would say there was only the notion of divine Love - no masculine love vs feminine love - only love - also I see that the anatomical differences of what we call the 'male' and 'female' bodies were not taken to mean anything but just that - differences in outward form - no one's intrinsic spirit was defined by the extrinsic form - so we see in reincarnation one could be in a female body in one life, and then in a male body in another - also with twin flames we see the same soul often with a male/female body pairing - but it is silly to say the same soul is also the divine masculine side and the divine feminine side just because of the external anatomy of the 2 bodies - yes, i know many spiritual teachers will disagree with me - fine - but I see it a somewhat dangerous thing to slice up the energy of divine love and start separating it into binary pieces, and in the process reducing that which is irreducible - that which always was, is and will be one

Agreed. It seems completely false defending positions whether men or women can give birth, we exist based on our inner authority, and that is the aspect of matriarchy. A lot of people hold the view groomed by this patriaerchal system that is totally sexist and insulting to women by reducing them to a sex object where their entire gender of their whole being is determined by their own chosen organs, in other words they have weaponized other's body against them, who gave them that authority. The patriarchy is a system where some authority above us tells us what we are and where we belong. If anytrhing, labels man and woman need to be determined by the gendering of our own sexed body based on our own authority and gender identity developed during the 2nd trimester, that is in relation to the binary system already put in place, if there was no such binary system, it would not be needed, people would just change their body like they change their hair-style. That is what I see as the essnetial aspect of every matriarchal system, it is giving power back to people, and not government.

As she has pointed out, and I hope everyone understands that clearly, matriaqrchy has NOTHING to do with gender, but the feminine energy they are representing - as in Mother/Matriarchy / Matter - Material - Earth. Whereas Masculine/Patriarchy/Pater - Pattern - Rules - Logic/logos - definitions. Again, most people still dont get this fundemental truth - Gender is a social and cultural gendering of the sexed body, none of it is biological, but ideological!!! I can not stress this enough, people need to drop that falsehood that it has anything to do with biolohy, no it does not!! it is a choice how to gender a sexual dimorphic species that has a mosaic of its sexual development, again matriarchal system has nothing to do with gender, and within such system gendering wont even EXIST!!!! Gendering process does not exist in the animal kingdom, they act based on instincts and spotaneous impulses, that is how matriarchal system is bound to operate, based on divine guidance/synchronicity/intuition. We are becoming androgynous as a human species as well, finally after thousands of years, as we stem from the hermaphroditic origin based on the anrhropological findings All of this is changing, we are undergoing massive massive evolutionary changes. And the incoming matriarchy will reflect that. This is why many of us used to say there are patriarchal women and matriarchal men. We describe people this way sometimes, because we either mean they have the arch of masculine or feminine essence OR they are epresenting the matriarchal or patriarchal system as their ambassadors in a sense, again it has nothing to do with gender!
Within patriarchy even women exist in higher places of power, that is NOT what is meant by patriarchy, usually only people indoctrinated by this sexist patriarchal system (masculine - pattern) they see it in terms of binary (which is only how machines operate), and this is how humans were enslaved into a machine like state of servitude. Again, patriarchy (pattern) pushes things into categorizations/duality, whereas matriarchy (dark matter - void) leads into the holy trinity, which is where truth is never defined, but only self realizeed, the truth in trinity can not be named, as words only exist in duality. It exists in between two extreme polarities, it is the inner authority, this is why in true matriarchy there can never be any authority that categorizes people, because that true authority is only us existing in between polarities, it is a true return to our divinity where we are given full power. This is our journey, this is why we came here on earth.

Yes, human hermaphrodites exists, as a very tiny percentage of the population. Vast majority of them only have one of the sexes fully evolved and some remnants from the other. Most of them can get the dominant sex assigned and live normal lives. Even if we assume a hermaphrodite that has both male and female reproductive organs functional, that person would be both man and woman, not something in between. Sex is not a spectrum. Gender is, cause gender is a made up term that can mean anything one wants and its meaning shifts from one day to another, based on current political agenda.
However, the gender is not something that is based in science and has nothing to do with sex. it's just a theoretical concept used by some so that they claim that they were always oppressed (although they've literally invented and claimed their gender yesterday).

Matriarchal societies don't emphasize gender roles but rather allow individual to live to their personalities and preferences. Actually there is a traditionally matriarchal tribe in the southwest China called Mosuo, as far as I know. There are a few documentaries about them on RUclips and you would probably be interested to check it out. Also, since they value family kinship, where family is led by the eldest grandmother and consists of her male/female children, her daughters’ children and so on, there is not a thing like marriage in the patriarchy. Adults date each other freely and can have kids if they want to, but it's totally personal choice whether ever go on dates with opposite sex. So sexual minorities are well accepted. An important thing about the family is that all members raise kids, take care of the old, and do housework together. It's their responsibility. The children call all females in family “a mi”(mom), call males "a wu"(mom's brother), and they cultivate the closet kinship. They don't distinguish biological relationships strictly in the family.

Matriarchy existed but has been wiped out of history. There were several female pharaohs and before, kings and queens were equal. After the tyrannical rule of Akhenaten, the forcing of one monotheism sun god on everyone (one ring to rule them all) and around the time the Jewish cult was exiled from Egypt the female pharaohs started to get sexualized and miniaturized the height of the male pharaohs knees. The one monotheistic abrahamic god (who was incidentally male) had a detrimental effect on Egypt and queen Nefertiti was blamed for her brother's stupidity. The original tarot and Hebrew alphabet before the Torah and biblical manipulation of a masculine "god" had a balance of male to female ratio: every king had a queen, an empire had an empress, the male magician was paired with the female high priest. Tarot started to be viewed as evil because it had a balance of men and women whereas the mistranslated corrupted texts of the Torah and bible modified the idea of God to reroute people's spiritual energy for warfare to serve a tyrannical male king, corporations and CEO. Also Before , in times of matriarchy, even though there was king rulership, all kings needed permission from a woman (a high priestess with psychic and intuitive abilities) for any major moves and decisions. This is true even in matriarchal native American tribes where a male chief might take a position but need permission from the oldest wise women in the tribe to do anything, so the women has the final authority. This was intentionally wiped out of our historical records. In today's society where people dissociate from their intuition and close their third eye, they are more easily enslaved and women are devalued.
